Ah... Read that wrong. Luckily we have done some recruiting since then.

Not good to be high on the list. Bort says expansion teams with players with too high of levels (he decides whats too high for each league and doesnt tell us!) will be penalized in ability that will not be visible to the agent. Seeing as this league is expansion, it's probably level 9 or 10. Anyone over those levels will be penalized unknowingly to their attributes.

Oh, and its not 9 or 10, just guessing. Only Bort knows I guess...

It would have been nice if Bort had told us about that a little beforehand, heh

Why??? So you wouldn't have bent the rules by gutting one team to try to win a championship on an (laugh)expansion league? I coulda brought in 4 of my players that will be a level 13-20 when the season starts but felt like this would be a violation of the spirit of GLB- and now it appears Bort agrees with me.

What's going to REALLY be a riot is when, at the end of the season, your ringers you brought in fail to level much at all and those of us who played within the rules of the game have OUR players level to the point that by next season we'll have caught up with you.

I could get into the types of people who would rather be a big frog in a small little pond- like a few of the SE Asia AA owners who stuffed their roster are the same types of guys who would stuff their pants- but that would be starting shit now, wouldn't it?

Well said.

I've been recruiting like mad, managed to get a couple guys level 10+. I bet the level set for us will be 10 or 11. I do agree though, we've put this team together using buddies that are pretty much all new, and a handful of recruits that we've signed. If it wasn't for the latter, we'd be sitting with a bunch of level 7 boosters that hadn't played a game yet.

I've never had the experience of recruiting before, but it seems that the release of some 800? teams REALLY put the squeeze on level 9+ available players out there. I feel pretty lucky to get the FA's we got, so going up against a team that's been stacked... well, yeah, that would kinda piss me off. I'm glad the changes are going in.

For whatever it's worth; as the owner of the Surabaya Fighting Sura (formerly Stallions), I'm also happy that there's some parity in the new leagues.
