You guys have always been classy until now. Declining promotion to WPL is weak as shit. You guys lost 1 regular season game in the last 2 seasons. You were the best we had to offer. You earned your shot. Answer Please went to WPL and they were half the team you guys were this season in LOLion. Staying here in APL is an embarrassment. You guys put a stain on this league by not going up.

I am very confused by your statements in the APL, since you are so a shame of being associated with this league. Then why do you continue to hover around it's forum ...

First of, I did not know that doing things the right way, "By earning your way up was a bitch move."

Second, RJ is still RJ. If you miss his post. RJ did state before the Conference Game that if GRITS loses, then they will be staying in APL and earn their way up as true champion. I guess following through with what you believe in now is also a "BITCH MOVE!!!"

Please do us all a favor and leave all the drama in WL.

Grits earned its way to WPL. You don't get to choose when you promote to any other league. Hell we were 13th out of 14 teams to promote to APL two seasons ago after playing 1 season in AAA and losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Grits has had 4 or 5 games they even need to game plan for in the last 2 seasons. How is that any fun? I understand the WL forums are shitty, but how can you even feel good about yourself beating up on the same teams every season? Just has the stench of a bitch move all over it.

agreed. but there's little that can be done to stop that. simply put promotion should not be optional. if WL promotion was the same as every other league we wouldn't have this problem.

I'd think it would be easy to recruit for a team in World League. Is it? I don't know, I haven't recruited in 10 seasons...

Apparently we can't promote enough teams to fill AA either.

If you are a 3rd/4th place team and you decline promotion you made your choice - that is it... it is an option. There is no reason to riot over it though. IMO, it is a joke that Bort is posting threads in the WL calling out APL and making announcements begging for teams to fill AA. Last I checked he is kind of an important person in GLB. If he wants his promotion system & league structure to work all he needs to do is stick to his guns - demote guts/CPUs and fill up with the best promotion candidates according to his criteria. No grey area, no manual movements, no decline options - just Bort making a rule and enforcing it.

The whole implementation of the WL was rushed, there was no structure or thought given in any way shape or form on how it would work prior to the owners voting it in against bort's will, if you will. hmm...that worked out odd.

Fix the shitty implementation of the WL, give it structure and definitive guidelines, and all this fleshes out in the wash.

I agree with CT

I think the primary concern for most is that not only did Grits earn their spot in the WL, but they absolutely have the ability to compete at that level.
