APL folks,

After 10 full seasons in APL Dar es Salaam is hanging up its cleats. The basic deal is that I just don't have the time I'd like to run the team the way I'd like to. I'd like to thank all the people in APL that made this the best Pro League to be a part of in a lot of ways - even if we haven't ever caught USAPL in terms of pound for pound winnings.

I'd like to give a public nod to the GMs who've made our outfit pretty decent over the last 18 months - to Bone Saw, Lovie, SSlayton10, and back in the day to bigdrew.

Also - as you have your discussions about the great players and agents of APL I'd like to plug a few of our own. When it comes to QBs in the APL, both in how to build one and how to run a successful offense for one, no one is better than Lovie. Rock Monster and Drew Charrette and the offense for DeS and the Park Rangers over the course of the last two seasons should be all the evidence needed for that.

Also - I'd like to point to the SS duo we have going this season and in particular BayouBengal's SS Bradie Spears. He'll likely be the defensive MVP this season and no, I won't give out his build

As you think of overall builders I'd like to plug Mat McBriar and Montywop as among two of the best in APL. Anyone involved with these guys will likely be a winning outfit.

There's a lot more I could say, but at any rate, its been a good run and I'll be around here and there as a player builder. Thanks again. Its been a gas.

One of my favorites from the APL forums. It saddens me to see you guys go, but I understand. This may be my last season as a full time coordinator, unless it's for a casual team.

The good news is that RL has so much good stuff going on, and so many cool opportunities, that I just don't have time for doing GLB as an owner or AI guy (which I dropped two seasons ago already). For once it isn't a sad RL story pulling someone down.

That is a great shame and I would have enjoyed a few seasons competing with a fine team such as Dar es Salaam. Lovie an King of Bling! are two agents that we share and I hold both with the highest regard.

As for QPR, well we are the new boys in the APL and we continued our fine tradition of reaching the play-offs every season at every level from A5 up. I think few teams can match that achievement. But it is time to hang up the boots as RL has pressing concerns that I need to address. I wished it was a rosy picture but that is unfortunately not the case.

S12 will be QPR's last under my ownership and I sure do hope someone will be willing to carry the flag.

It's been a helluva great ride watching QPR blossom from Africa A5 to the meat-grinder that is the APL and I was sincerely hoping that I would be supervising the rise of a new super-power (a lot of the guys have many seasons left in the tank) but those dreams will be nipped in the bud as I say farewell to the stresses and strains of GLB ownership demands.

APL is going to be nutty next season. DD is merging so unless they lose someone gets a shot at WPL.

Two here possibly gone.

Rumor is the Pirates are done as well.

Cant take too many more hits.
