I don't complain about anything, ever! But I have a gripe and I'm gonna get it out there just in case it might make some difference. But the Gold offensive MVP race is garbage at the moment. http://goallineblitz.com/game/league.pl?league_id=211

How is it that this guy (http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1681062) is #1 and my guy Salsa is #2?? http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1679403

Aside from the rushing yards, the stats are not even close! TDs, yards per carry, yards per game?? Come on, seriously!? After the next game, (which we play each other) if he is still #1, he's won it. I'm sorry, but that will be some serious BS, in my opinion anyway.

Any thoughts?

I don't follow those kind of stats at all, they are always debatable and most of the time, it will just leave you unhappy and stressed. I could care less what my individual players get as long as the "team" wins.

Sure, sure, I agree. But you wouldn't feel slighted in the least? As the OC, I'm lookin' out for my dudes.

if it is ideas you want, i am just guessing here, but it may, or may not have to do with the fact that your QB rating is at the bottom.
Your player is actually a better running back, then the other, but, i would assume that the formula used would take points away due to your QB rating, just a thought.

Yes, that is what I'm looking for. Makes sense, thanks Dreven.

Stats don't usually count towards the MVP Race when your team wins by 100 or more. Your team has two blow out wins where you accumulated over 700 rushing yards which is nearly half of your yards for the season. The other only has a 200 yard penalty... Thus by the MVP standards, the stats look like:

HB: 1033 Yards, 13 TDs
Your QB: 1068 Yards, 30 TDs

Now the 93-0 game you won may not count either, I know the cut off is "around" 100. Add to the fact that you have 5 games with less than 10 yards rushing and 3 of those being a negative amount, he has more games where he attributed to the outcome of the game.

For the most part, your rushing QB has realistically contributed to only 3 of the teams "good wins" and only one of those was a true close game.

That's my two cents on the matter, but I've been shafted in the MVP races before... I can't explain all of it's magical hidden numbers.

This. Bort stated a few years ago that if you have blow out games, it'll only be worth about 50% of what a real game is. I, like LE, don't really follow it even when my players are at the top, but I'm pretty sure Guzz is right. And the bouts like your "top" games weigh more. So say you played FG and both teams were 1 and 3, you'd get a bonus to your MVP race for doing well.

Excellent points here Guzz and very true. He did get some gaudy stats in lesser games. It's nice to get the recognition of MVP, but in the end, he's just gonna get retired anyway.

I was also going to say that they don't really count the blowout games. I'm not sure if 100 is a hard number for that, but 23 of your QB's TD's came in 2 blowout games...impressive, yes, but not necessarily 'valuable'.

I also believe that there is a component to the equation that has to do with % of total team offensive yards (or something similar). I've seen a guy with 1200 yards (but the team as a total only had about 1450 all season) beat a guy with 3000 total yards, but his team had 10,000+. It's kind of silly, but I think it was coded to help determine value to the team. This case isn't quite that glaring, but your QB is just barely the leading rusher on the team.

It might be the fame - 108 vs 94 = 15% more fame on the other guy... I don't know how much it weighs in the formula, but I suspect it's a significant portion.

Well, last season (11) I had a running QB on a casual 13 capped league, but the team was half cpu, and he still ran the hell out of the ball, and was leading the league MVP race with one game to go the owner went cpu............The second place MVP guys was a solid HB with a great team, so i just retired my QB so the other guy could have it...........O_o
