i was told strength doesnt factor into the goldbar equation. thats what i'm shooting for

True. For the gold bar, kicking is most, then Con, Vis, Agi are about equal I believe. Not 100% positive for kickers. Jumping and Strength do not figure into the bar.
Regardless, you're better off pushing confidence high ASAP as it gets huge level bonus, whereas agi/vis do not.
