As much as Frank Thomas and his 92 pancakes have done for the squad you simply can't put into words what Shirley has done thus far into the season. Over 100 broken tackles.......already more td's this season in seven games then he had in all 16 games last season.....add those two in with the fro-power and Big has not only lived up to her name, but exceeded it, she's been HUGE and is a major reason for the Navigators 7-0 record to date.

As much as i'm sure teams will complain about DryHo's victory over them, MEM has been rocksolid and aside from a whoa-fully bad performance on offense vs. DryHo the combo of Drago and LC has been a headache for DC's across the world league. With JJ doing his thing on defense and Drago under center for the offense MEM is poised to make some noise heading late into the season, however they still have to undefeated teams ahead......but after Lincoln and Mayan the schedule eases up drastically from what they've been through thus far.

A big risk big reward type of player Drago leads the Evil Monkey attack with his FYF mentality. It seems every time the ball is in the air it's either an INT or a strike for a TD, however thus far there have been more strikes then picks and the stats will get a little padding for most of the back stretch of the schedule. One can go on and on with what Drago has accomplished but all that needs to be said is he leads all WL qb's in passing td's and second in passing yards and completing an astounding 68.5% of his passes.

Lolregularseason is under way and the champs started out a little hungover from their championship and were quickly slapped around and reminded season 12 is underway by the newly promoted and season 12 favorites New Jersey Blaze who ran them over with a "preseason al" however the champs quickly recovered form to tackle the mighty evil Monkeys only to fall two weeks later to the USAPL all-stars. By far the toughest first half of the season by any team Hali escapes with two loses and look to run the table from here on led by their three headed monster on offense featuring Jedi, Rocketarm and Dooley.......their defense is a bit shakier then usual but the game vs. MEM reminded the WL that they can still dotball with the best of 'em. Vegas has them as a top four finisher falling just short of a repeat performance however Gart and co still are the self-proclaimed favorites and are led by their famous "UR DED in da Playoffs" mentality and the spirit of JG so look for them to come alive late and don't be suprised if you see them on day 39 with a shot at their second shiny .gif in as many years.

Although his fumbles are up, ypc are down, and receptions and receiving td's near altime lows there is no doubt that that is merely a reflection of teams faced rather then the dreaded decline in performance that is starting to spread throughout GLB. When hali rolls Jedi is the driver and look for Hali to be rolling the rest of the season in big part to their Knight in shining armor.

Critics say it's the easy schedule that is the root of their perfect record but the bottom line is they beat teams they're supposed to and have only had a few close encounters while essentially stat-padding the rest of their games. Led by an elite defense and an offense that can flat go off on teams, Mayan looks poised to post one of the best records of the newly promoted WL teams. With the heart of their schedule vastly approaching we shall find out for soon if the Prophecy is for real or if the elders were off on their predictions and the prophecy fall flat......either way Mayan is essentially guaranteed to stay around for one more WL go-around and look to prove they deserve it.

Mayan is so spread out statistically speaking that it's difficult to pinpoint one player as more deserving then the other as an MVP, however Tommy has been a factor each and every game providing Mayan with excellent field position and a threat to take it deep at any moment to change a game in favor of the prophecy. Posting one of the World Leagues best combinations of KR yard average and PR yard average Tommy is one of the major forces pushing Mayan to it's early success and looks to keep it up going into week 8 and beyond.

One of the most difficult teams to pick a spot to place as they beat some very solid teams however the week 1 shellacking that Lincoln put on them isn't exactly out of mind as their offense hasn't been overpowering nor has their defense been lockdown, but they find ways to win games and at the end of the day that's all that matters. with some of the better zeta teams out of the way i wish i could say things would only get easier for them but unfortunately this is the WL and there are several trap games around the corner for the Wangs and co.....including OTR in a few weeks and then a brutal six game stretch towards the end of the season which includes the top ranked team in the world in week 15, they can either fall from grace or rise to the occasion.....only time will tell but for now Vegas says don't count them out of a home playoff birth.

Despite lacking the TD numbers that you may expect from a team that passes at a 3:2 pass/run ratio Song has put up some serious yards on some excellent defenses. League leader in passing yards as well as team leader and captain Song excells in game management and has already marched his team down the field for several game winning drives over the likes of the Ballers and Benitos. It's not pretty dotball but it gets the job done!

Early season struggles against MPHD and TKW were supposed to disappear by this point in the season but the wangs are still struggling narrowly escaping OTR and nearly making a huge mistake in dropping one of the "easy one's" against CCC......inconsistency has nearly cost them several times however good teams find ways to win and the Wangs coach although no longer having fingernails is proud to have his troops in at 5-2 at the near-midpoint of the season. The road ahead looks tough as they still have Bonn and the Blaze ahead HHW better figure things out quickly or else face an unfavorable round one matchup possibly on the road. Vegas says they pull it together more consistently and get that home berth for at least one round and that's enough to convince me that Stuart can rally his troops and win at least 7 of the next 9 and keep day 33 in Hawaii.

Whether it be loldline or just great blocking by the oline Stuart is showing great promise this season at making an MVP run which would be his first in his illustrious 11 year career. Leading the Wangs to a solid 5-2 record trying to avenge their championship loss last season Stuart and co look as good as ever on the dotfield and are showing all the savvy and wiliness of experienced WL veterans.

My how the mighty have fallen, from nearly unbeatable with their season 11 exploits to just another really good WL team, Bonn is searching for answers for a consistent performance. Although they are finding wins the games are far from Bonn fashion as they only have 2 wins decided by double figures, three of their five wins are by a combined total of 14 points and their two losses were by a combined total of 17 points......however they are still winning the majority of their outings and Sven is putting up one of his best years in his career. Turnovers have plagued the Bonn offense but their defense has come on strong as of late and things seem to be working themselves out with the Dynamo. With the Benitos, Blaze and Ballers all coming up soon the Dynamo are hitting their stride at the right time but will need to vastly improve if they have any hope of escaping the next three weeks 3-0 and with a huge test at Honolulu in week 15 we'll know if Bonn still can conjure up a magical World League run or if they offseason changes were to much for them to be elite again. Vegas says they're the darkhorse and the biggest high risk high reward bet thus far but if you're feelin lucky hop aboard while the Bonn express still has room on their Bandwagon.

Sven has been a headache for coordinators all over Zeta........including his own offensive coordinator. On the bright side he's averaging over 110 yards per game which is good enough for his third best total of his career, the downside is he's fumbling at rates never seen before. Head Coach Wrath of Connor says "with sven it's purely mental, he has the physical tools and know how to shake it off and keep pluggin away to take us to the ship but he has to work out a few mental blocks along the way. No doubt we've been through minor episodes of this before but never to this extent....we'll work through it but in the meantime he'll be wearing a new set of stickum gloves instead of the fabled Golden Jock Strap just to keep the ball off the turf." If Shiner gets things going in the right direction Bonn can very well be championship bound but all of Bonns hopes and dreams rest in his sometimes unsure grip......we'll see if he can come through down the backstretch.

Following their offseason youth movement the former #1 ranked team in the world is suffering through some of the problems that traditionally plague young squads. However with Jacob, Rabid and Young running the offense and Ed TooTall Jones and his gay lover anchoring their defense (sorry i had to work that in there somehow
) Cincy looks to use their energetic youth to push them through the postseason, however Vegas says "Don't bet your House on it" and all signs show that the team is looking towards season 13 as their real push for a championship........right now they're just looking to survive the WL as they clearly aren't in the same league as MEM and HHW and have alot of ground to makeup. However should their WL rookies step it up as the vets start to slow down and decline they will surely be a tough out come day 33 and who knows, maybe joemiken and co can shock the world much like their championship run of season 10........stay tuned a things are finally looking turning around in Cincy with not only the shockers but the Bengals as well.

Jacob Orangeblood is the heart and sole of this team and as he goes so will they. The reason they will still be in the world leagues come season 13 is the all world halfback who is closing in on the century mark for the 10th straight season. Over, around, through it doesn't matter how he has to get around your defense to find the endzone he always seems to get there and reaching the endzone 19 times on the young season and single handedly propelling their offense to a respectable 5-2 record.

After making a huge youth movement in their backfield as well as a few other positions the benitos were hoping that Randall could carry them to the promised land however their once overpowering offense has managed to put up 24+ points only twice on the season but their defense has been better then years past. With Randall struggling to find the right team throwing 8 interceptions through seven games you would think the Benitos would be set for relegation but their young hb and defense have picked up the slack and have the benitos sitting at 4-3 with some of the tougher teams behind them, but also a few of the easier games as well so Ben has to come around and quickly if the Benitos are looking for more then just a playoff birth.

With the Benitos, Blaze and Ballers all coming up soon the Dynamo are hitting their stride at the right time but will need to vastly improve if they have any hope of escaping the next three weeks 3-0 and with a huge test at Honolulu in week 15 we'll know if Bonn still can conjure up a magical World League run or if they offseason changes were to much for them to be elite again. Vegas says they're the darkhorse and the biggest high risk high reward bet thus far but if you're feelin lucky hop aboard while the Bonn express still has room on their Bandwagon.

Sven has been a headache for coordinators all over Zeta........including his own offensive coordinator. On the bright side he's averaging over 110 yards per game which is good enough for his third best total of his career, the downside is he's fumbling at rates never seen before. Head Coach Wrath of Connor says "with sven it's purely mental, he has the physical tools and know how to shake it off and keep pluggin away to take us to the ship but he has to work out a few mental blocks along the way. No doubt we've been through minor episodes of this before but never to this extent....we'll work through it but in the meantime he'll be wearing a new set of stickum gloves instead of the fabled Golden Jock Strap just to keep the ball off the turf." If Shiner gets things going in the right direction Bonn can very well be championship bound but all of Bonns hopes and dreams rest in his sometimes unsure grip......we'll see if he can come through down the backstretch.

) Cincy looks to use their energetic youth to push them through the postseason, however Vegas says "Don't bet your House on it" and all signs show that the team is looking towards season 13 as their real push for a championship........right now they're just looking to survive the WL as they clearly aren't in the same league as MEM and HHW and have alot of ground to makeup. Jacob Orangeblood is the heart and sole of this team and as he goes so will they. The reason they will still be in the world leagues come season 13 is the all world halfback who is closing in on the century mark for the 10th straight season. Over, around, through it doesn't matter how he has to get around your defense to find the endzone he always seems to get there and reaching the endzone 19 times on the young season and single handedly propelling their offense to a respectable 5-2 record.

Synopsis of the first Seven:
After making a huge youth movement in their backfield as well as a few other positions the benitos were hoping that Randall could carry them to the promised land however their once overpowering offense has managed to put up 24+ points only twice on the season but their defense has been better then years past. With Randall struggling to find the right team throwing 8 interceptions through seven games you would think the Benitos would be set for relegation but their young hb and defense have picked up the slack and have the benitos sitting at 4-3 with some of the tougher teams behind them, but also a few of the easier games as well so Ben has to come around and quickly if the Benitos are looking for more then just a playoff birth.

A do it all linebacker buster brings highlight reel hits every week and a league leading 6 forced fumbles on the year.
