Little quiet around here so I thought I would give this a shot and throw out some predictions.
Lion Conference
GAME OF THE WEEK
Sterling Bulldawgs (5-0) at Quick Stop Clerks (5-0)
Quick Stop has been playing some good football and has dominated teams. They had a close call against Sahara but managed to make a big comeback in the 3rd quarter of that game to win out. The Bulldawgs are coming off a very convincing win against Fat Jaws. The Clerks have the edge in levels and even though the Bulldawgs had a better game against Fat Jaws than the Clerks did I think they will get just enough done on offense to come out on top and remain undefeated.
LHC Naked Turtles (5-0) at Taipei Little Fish Rangers (4-1)
Taipei has had a very easy schedule up until now with their only loss coming against the Bulldawgs. LHC has manhandled every opponent to date. This should be a good game and almost made my pick for game of the week. In the end I think LHC is just too much for Taipei to handle.
Houston Space Cowboys (4-1) vs Detroit DopeDealers (0-5)
Detroit has yet to win a game or even play a close game and this one definitely won't be close either as the Space Cowboys will fly away with this one quickly.
Sahara ShadowChasers (4-1) vs G-Vegas Pirates (1-4)
The Pirates are in the midst of the toughest stretch of their schedule having just played Quick Stop and with the Bulldawgs on the horizon. It's easy to see them at 1-7 before the halfway point of the season lightens up their schedule a little. This one should be an easy victory for Sahara.
Walburg Zion Dragons (3-2) vs Bayou City Bruisers (1-4)
Walburg has the better overall roster and Bayou just hasn't beaten anyone good this season not to mention the big chemistry hit they took while rebuilding the roster. Dragons win easy.
Port Saint Johns Legends (3-2) vs Abbotsford Garden Gnomes (3-2)
This is a big game for both teams. Port Saint has had a tougher schedule so far and if they win here they'll be able to rack up some victories as the schedule eases down for them. Abbotsford has a tougher second half slate so they need this win to keep pace for a playoff spot. I'm leaning towards Port Saint in this game since they've played well against top teams even if they lost while the Gnomes haven't faced nor beaten a top team yet.
Casablanca Sultans (2-3) at Fat Jaws Badness (2-3)
Fat Jaws have had a pretty tough schedule to open up the season and this is the week I see them getting back to .500 against a team they outlevel easily just in time to get another win against Cairo before facing LHC.
Cairo Emperors (0-5) at Durban Donkeys (0-5)
A battle between two winless teams. Cairo wins easily since they outlevel the Donkeys by a huge margin so congrats to Cairo. After this week only two winless teams will remain.
