I hope the tactics are going to come out for true dual threats this season. What are other peoples opinions on this?

A scrambler isn't viable yet, and until that happens I don't think its worth trying a dual threat and spreading out your points even more.

Correct. While it's normal for real players to become more agile or stronger as their careers move on - they really cannot become significantly faster. In GLB, it's entirely possible for a player to go from 15 speed to 35-40 speed over the course of one season. Best way to is to maybe do a little bit of both at the very early levels....and then transition to full blown pocket passer. If your QB is still around and doing fine when the addition of effective scrambling is implemented, you can begin to work on your scrambler abilities. You'd also be a much better QB because of that.

That's exactly what I am going to do with my guy. We'll see what happens.

seems backward to me wouldnt it make more sense to make a pocket passer THEN transition into scrambler aabilities (if and when it becomes viable)?

'On the Run' and 'Dump Pass' are still very good abilities for a pocket passer too.
The other ones . . . not so much. Maybe 'Demoralizer', but you'd have to spend a lot of SP to get it up to a respectable level (and even then it's dependent on a home-run play).

duel threat guys can do more than just run tho. check these few plays out, i mean the QB is quick enough to avoid the rush and get plays off.
this one he's able to move around, while his vision let's him see the covered guys. without the agility, he woulda been sack at the line:

this one is just a good play. he's able to see the open WR in the little window, but notice he's moving around in the pocket. this helps incase a d-line man breaks through, or a LB is blitzing.

this one, without the speed and agility results in a sack instead of a TD
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=2524458
i know this was only 6 yards, but still, there's not many QB's in the game that woulda got past the line of scrimmage

so see, here's just a few plays that shows that speed and agility are needed and can create a good duel treat QB.

Best performance I've had from my kinda-sorta dual threat QB
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=11478
3 carries, 23.5 yards (7.8 YPC)

yeah but your playing against a terrible team. watch the lb and cb in this one. run right by the guy and don't do anything. and where is the SS going?
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=2298207
but granted, the second rush he had was a good one.

Bort has tweaked it a bit so that the algorithm for a running QB is slightly better. However, you'll have to wait until more advanced offensive tactics come out before a scrambling QB really becomes more useful.

i mean it worked. we lost, but it wasn't cuz of the rushing QB's.
8 rushes for 35 yards. No sacks. whatever Bort did definitely helped from last year.
