this is the kind of GLB i love. any given sunday, anybody can win. that's when this game becomes fun. the silverbacks are proof positive how good this league is. we have two upsets so far, and we are glad to be 2-0 but know we could just as easily be 0-2.

i do guarantee this: no one will go undefeated this season.

there are very good OC and DC's here this season. those from Lion AA #3 were battle tested from seasons of playing tough teams like the 5 former AA #3 teams all in Africa Pro now. the AAA veterans are also battle tested from playing those same very tough teams the last few seasons. i can't speak for the AA's from elsewhere, but they look tough too.

outside of the rosetta stone bye week we all get, we don't get a week off. there isn't a single team here that can't play. some very good teams are going to have double digit losses and the playoffs will be epic. one bad, or even not as good as usual, game plan and it's a loss.

we are in uncharted waters right now with the season 1 guys all beginning to fade. how precipitous the effect of the drop will be is not known. i do know the gap is closing quicker between the lower levels and the tops.

last season, we circled games on the calender as big games. this year, that just can't happen. we want to beat our bigger rivals, like Eden, but i think i am going to have hate-respect for a lot of other teams at the end of this season.

i cannot even pick a conference favorite right now, nor a group of playoff teams. certain teams, like us and Eden, have 100 morale and others don't. by seasons end, FA pickups, players simply leveling up and morale getting higher changes the dynamics of the early season upstarts.

for us, we are good but not great. we are pretty out-leveled in almost every game. if we make the playoffs we will consider this a very successful season. if we finish 4th and get one home playoff game, it will be our super bowl.

what are your goals for your team or player?

Our goal at Swaiziland will be to go Undeafed! I really think we're as good as an African Pro team!

Undeafed? lol

anyway, Sahara pretty much has the same expectations as your team radja. Playoffs = season successful.

excellent goals, fellas!

i was primarily talking about Lion, though i do believe elephant is stacked top to bottom also. you may go undefeated but i think its going to be tough.

the problem i see in someone going undefeated at least in our conference is the quality of DC' and OC's, the variants in style between teams (at least from the AA teams i am familiar with) and the overall even talent.

over the last few seasons in lion AA, you had teams so different from each other you could not rest on your game plan. one team pounded you, one threw a lot. one had a great pass defense, one forced turnovers like a mother. as soon as you thought you figured it out what to do with your team, along came the wrench to your plans and you lost.

for Lion AAA, especially this season, i see a repeat of that.

Classy post. And a bit of history. Africa AAA has had an elephant Champion in every season MaRAWK has been here and at least 2 prior.

MaRAWK's goal is REVENGE!

It started with a bad playoff loss to the Chad Ocho Cinco. Our revenge is still in the works with them, but we are slowly corrupting a few of their key agents. It continued with some bad regular season losses to FNG, and some redonkulous playoff losses from the past two seasons.

Cardiff was one. And the smacketh was layeth to the maximum. There will be more REVENGE smack as soon as the owners come back from a 3 week binger after beating VaTech. Grats Jackets!

So did Michigan when they went PRO. Its just a different world up there.

If you do go undefeated Swazi GREAT job man. Its always just a game in my eyes but man this is a tight league IMO to make such a run here.

As for Nigerians we had back to 12-4 seasons (9 & 10) lost to eventual league champs both times and no props at all(Gunston/Chad). So as the World Turns In GLB here we sit in AAA. But after seeing Michigan get man handled with a solid team maybe AAA isnt bad after all LMAO!! Not that we dont want to be there but in reality we deserved to be there just as MaRawk feels as well.

Goals for players and teams eh.

Tony to prove his domination in the uncapped leagues was not a fluke.

Leader well try to find a way to get the Zoners some wins.

Ironton Tanks S12 Goal: Win ONE Game.

Although at this point it looks like Rosetta will be tougher than expected.

Swaziland is quality all the way through. I think they could compete in Africa Pro for a playoff spot. I think we right below that with Nigeria. Still getting a read on the new teams.

I'm also interested with the S1 players getting close to retirement. The S3 players are by and large MUCH better....but they are much better on both sides of the ball so S3 vs S3 should be a wash, but if you get a team of S3 players against a team of S1 players it could be advantage S3 team right now (looks at Swazi).

I'm cheering for the Silverbacks!
