Did this last season, so I thought I would try it again.

These are my observations of the Elephant Conference for season 12.

My thoughts come from the following:
--previous knowledge of team
--current roster
--3 scrimmage games

Tier 1

Kilimanjaro Sting
Ethiopian Food Mongers
Covington Black Knights
Ikari Warriors
Ivory Coast Breakers

All of these teams have a legitimate shot of winning it all. They are all good organizations run by good people. Should be an exciting race. The Sting are always tough, and probably gameplan as well as anyone around. The Food Mongers, well they are the Food Mongers, and they will be there in the end. The Black Knights are damn good. The Warriors are new to the conference, but they are dropping down, and it looks like they have reloaded.

Tier 2

Africa Unite

Only reason they are not in tier 1 is because they are new to the scene. They were in the league last year, but they were rebuilding. They have loaded up for season 12, and they will beat someone from tier 1 this season.

Tier 3

P-Town Ballaz
Luxembourg Lions

The Ballaz have the players to make a run, but they have underachieved the last few seasons. If they pull it together they will be dangerous. The Lions are new to the conference, but I expect them to make the playoffs.

Tier 4

Hanoi Paratroopers
Huambo Hermaphrodites
Hungry Hungry Hippos
Saskatchewan Thrashers
Grocery Baggers

These 5 teams are a little outleveled to make much of a run this season. They all seem to be solid organizations, so they will be headed in the right direction. They each have an outside shot at the playoffs, but they will need to get some breaks.

Tier 5

Uganda Crowned Cranes
African Fire
Huronia Stallions

The Cranes are starting over, and the other 2 teams are CPU.

God, I love this game. Every season the Lions are underrated and every season we prove everyone wrong. This season will be no different.

Good luck to everyone this season.

Really? Predicted to reach the playoffs is being underrated?

The lions want to prove everyone wrong? So you DONT want to make the playoffs?

Kind of what I was thinking!!

Again my criteria was the following:
--previous knowledge of team never heard of you before
--current roster little lower than the top tiered teams
--3 scrimmage games lost 2 of 3 scrimmage games

Then after all that you get blown out in week 1.

They did play a top team from the other conference. I think 10 wins for the lions is reasonable. That gets them in the playoffs. I just dont see how he could think that his team is underrated.

Just giving my guys a little negative reinforcement for the season. Wasn't meaning to offend anyone. As far as us getting blown out, there is no shame in getting blown out against a team that is that good. We'll treat it like any other loss. We'll take it and learn from it to beat the next team we play. No excuses here.

The Baggers is probably right where they should, but they might surprise 1 or 2 teams along the way. If somehow we can be .500 it would be a success. Moving from a Cap 31 to here is quite a jump!!!

If you have the time guys please click on the links below, especially the VOTE on PodCastAlley. I would greatly appreciate it

Update after 3 games.

Tier 1

Kilimanjaro Sting
Ethiopian Food Mongers
Covington Black Knights
Ivory Coast Breakers

All of these teams are 3-0 so far. The Sting and Black Knights have not been challenged so far. The Food Mongers beat a solid Dragons team from the Lion Conference, and then squeaked out a W against the Paratroopers. The Breakers posted a solid victory against the Ikari Warriors.

Tier 2

Ikari Warriors
Hanoi Paratroopers

The Warriors drop to tier 2 after a tough loss to the Breakers. They are still a team to watch out for. I hope we don't meet up with them again. The Paratroopers move up from tier 4 after their narrow loss to the Food Mongers. They have looked very solid so far. They have a big game tomorrow with the Breakers.

Tier 3

Africa Unite
Luxembourg Lions

Africa drops down from tier 2. They have had a slow start to the season. They get a chance tomorrow to right the ship against the Ballaz. The Lions rebounded with 2 wins against gutted teams after their season opening loss to the Clerks. They are still a solid team.

Tier 4

P-Town Ballaz
Huambo Hermaphrodites
Hungry Hungry Hippos
Grocery Baggers

The Ballaz drop down a tier after 2 losses to teams whom they outlevel. They need to right the ship now or they run the chance of missing the playoffs. Huambo is 1-2 on the season, but their win is against the Ballaz which could help with tiebreakers. The Hippos are 0-3, but they played the Ballaz very tight. The Baggers pulled off a big blowout win over the Thrasers so they look to be heading in the right direction.

Tier 5

Saskatchewan Thrashers

The Thrasers are dropping down because of their blowout loss to the Baggers. They need to regroup.

Tier 6

Uganda Crowned Cranes
African Fire
Huronia Stallions

Nothing new here.

great update. The Black Knights have to play some tough teams our next two games starting with Kilimanjaro Sting.

We definitely need to regroup. The lack of coordinators isnt helping us out. Real life seems to not want the Thrashers to have any coordinators.

I expected to struggle but damn, not like this. We'll be lucky to get three wins.
