and to throw one out there for Lion
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=2750&team2=1553

everybody should pick an upset from each conference for each round

or else just pencil in BDM and JJ for finals

I like it! Here we go. I'll do mine with a little write up, just for fun.

Round 1

Johannesburg Jackals vs. Rwanda Headhunters
The Jackals made it though the regular season undefeated, but none of that matters if they don't have a good showing in the playoffs. The Headhunters started this season out strong, looking like they would be home for the playoffs for sure. Instead they went 3-4 down the stretch and find themselves as the 8th seed. Which Headhunter team shows up tomorrow? I'm not sure, but I can't pick against my own team in the playoffs. JJ wins.

Dryden Blue Balls vs. Zulu Death warriors
Dryden has been playing on another level lately. They are definitely a team that no one wants to play in the playoffs. The way that this team is prepared each and every week....Asheme may be the most under-appreciated AI dot guru in the history of GLB. On the other side of the coin, I really like Zulu. They have some impressive wins this season, and are capable of beating any team in this league. I picked against the Balls to close out the season, and they made me look stupid. So, I'm going to take the Balls in this one.

Answer Please vs. CollegeTown USA
This should be a really good game! Their regular season game ended in a 2 point win for AP, so that gives you a little indication on how even these two can play each other. I thought that CT was going to fall just short of the playoffs, but they pulled through nicely, and ended up with the 7th seed. I just can't pick against AP in this one though. They have had an outstanding season so far, and it would just be too much of a shame if it ended here. AP wins.

The Nile Denial vs. PTT Rebels
TND slid down to the 3rd seed on the last day of the season, but somehow I don't think that bothers them one bit. I'm pretty sure that the ultimate goal was the league championship, and that goal is still well with in reach. PTT is always a dangerous team, and with that offense, they have a shot to win each and every game. I've got TND winning this one.

Blood Diamond Marauders vs. Teikoku Alexanders
TA did a great job pulling it together enough to make it in to the playoffs. Unfortunately they drew the BDM in the first round. BDM has been the best team in Elephant this season, and I don't see that ending here. TA should be good to go next season, but for now they'll have to settle for a one and done in the playoffs. BDM marches through to the next round.

Choctaw Cracker Party vs. Swaziland Semnikati
This has the makings of a good game. CCP won the regular season game 35-24, but will they come into this game looking ahead to the next round? Swaziland has been up and down all season, but I have to believe they'll be ready for this game. I have to pick at least one upset in the first round, so I'm going to pick this one. SS wins.

Mamelodi Night Runners vs. Seychelles Sabercats
SS actually won this match up in the regular season, with a score of 10-6. They would love to make it 2 in a row, and advance to the next round of the playoffs. itsme4 runs a good team though, and I just can't see MNR losing this one. It will probably be a very close game, but I'm going with MNR.

Rhodesia Ratels vs. River Stix Jinx
RSJ lost the regular season match up by 38, and I don't really see much changing here. RR is just too tough, and won't be denied in the first round of these playoffs.

2nd Round

Johannesburg Jackals vs. Dryden Blue Balls
Dryden has proven all season long that levels don't matter. But I think levels mixed with good game plans and build DO matter. Dryden makes it a lot closer than the regular season match up, but still fall. (They should be the early season favorites to win the league next season though.)

Answer Please vs The Nile Denial
AP won the earlier match up by a surprising 29 points. AP has come a long way since last season, but I think that TND will pull this one out in the grudge match.

Blood Diamond Marauders vs. Swaziland Semnikati
BDM is really looking forward to a 2nd round match up with Choctaw, but with SS spoiling the party they'll have to settle with this match up. BDM wins.

Mamelodi Night Runners vs. Rhodesia Ratels
Yet another good game between these old rivals. I'll take MNR to win a close one. Wyatt and Jessica seen making out after the game.....

Conference Finals

Johannesburg Jackals vs The Nile Denial
Its a match up that a lot of people have been predicting since the beginning of the season. How can I vote against my own team?

Blood Diamond Marauders vs Mamelodi Night Runners
This is an old fashioned melee, but MNR pulls it out in the end.

League Finals

Johannesburg Jackals vs. Mamelodi Night Runners
In a back and forth game, MNR loses on a last second FG. Final score 32-31. itsme4 goes crazy and renames the team "I hate this damn game"

Okay guys there you have it. I picked an underdog in every round. Good luck to all the teams that made the playoffs. It should be a fun final few games!

You are correct. MNR won't be playing BDM again this season.

Our acronym is RR, not BDM.

its gonna be fun to see how many get the upset coz this league is quite competitive i think so its easily possible to have more than 1 upset in each conference maybe we can even take down BDM

Just a heads up if you guys havent been paying attention. The promotion number this season is going to be very low, most likely only the conference champs from both AAA league and its possible that it could only be the league champs. All 4 WPL reps are coming back to APL and 2 going up, with only a few CPU teams it doesnt look like there will be much wiggle room. So this league looks to be solid top to bottom again next season.
