After doing the coaches poll for the last 7 seasons for APL it looks like I'm about to take my bow and move on to WPL land. I'm sorry for the lack of reports lately but I haven't gotten more than 2 polls since week 7. It happens every year, teams are interested in voting at the start but as the season progresses it falls off especially when the NFL and fantasy football comes around.
This year died off much earlier than past seasons because of the huge influx of new teams I suppose. Teams not used to voting. I had big plans for this year going in including a surprise midseason interview with Vegas that I had set up from last season. But it all petered out just as we got rolling, and the polls stopped as well as the interview.
At this point I think I have one last big writeup left in me for APL, and that will be the post season preview. I'm asking all of you to participate in that one at the end of week 16. If you don't I'll write it anyway
I think we should do the Vegas interview as well, I'll see if he's still game after getting hitched. There are some items in APL history that need to be put to rest once and for all and I think it would be entertaining for all involved.
I'm posting this because I'm hoping one of you will pick up where I left off. FLGator is doing a much appreciated preview these last few weeks to fill the gap and I thank him for it. It'sa great weekly writeup that I look forward to, but the one thing I prided myself with in my reports here in APL was helping to bring the whole league together in a way that none of the other leagues could touch. I'd hate to see you lose that when I move on. I'd offer to keep writing them but with my move to WPL and my re-venture into team ownership, I just won't have the time anymore.
I've played this game since year 1, since that time I've been a part of many many many teams, and I can tell you without a doubt that my best times in GLB were spent right here in APL.
I want to thank all of you for that. I truly wish you all the best success in the future in whatever you do in and out of this stupid game. Thanks for giving me some great memories.
