Unproven, but Bort stated semi-recently that it is like the "d-line stun effect, but you need an SA to do it." So if you have a high agility/strength build, and have issues in pass blocking at times, I would strongly consider trying this SA.

As far as me SEEING it on the field and not going by text and how it is supposed to work, etc., I don't have any high shock block builds to watch so I can't give you replays that show it go off too much.

I have seen it work, though. It does exactly what the text says it will (shocking, eh?) The defender gets hit and instead of being pancaked such as in a running play, he freezes up for a few ticks. And a few ticks is usually enough to re-ground yourself and for all intensive purposes that pass rusher becomes a complete non-factor on that passing play.

With this in mind, I only recommend the skill for high str/agi LOT, LG and ROTs who are in a competitive league and might find issues against the top teams with pass protection.

imo the problem is, even if it works well when it works, it doesn't work a high percentage of the time and therefore fails to protect the qb. i would rather never do something bad, than do something great half the time and screw up the other half the time (if i was an o-lineman).

Does Shock Block apply to running plays as well or just passing?

Just rolled a +1 shock block for my lvl 14 center. Doesn't look like anyone is suggesting it is worth it. Any other comments?
