Nicest guy in real life (my girlfriend ran into him at a mall)... the baddest mofo alive on the football field.
I hate the Steeler but respect the hell out of Troy.

I steered clear of him in all of my leagues. lol... I'm still not sure why people have him ranked so high!
Don't get me wrong...he can catch anything withing 20 yards of him... lol But he's got Anquan and Breaston out there too. Part of Fitz stats are because Boldin was out. Then you look at Andre Johnson... up and coming offense with only Kevin Walter competing with him... Then you have Randy Moss... With Brady back, is there a huge doubt he'll have the most recieving TDs in the league???? Just crazy to have Fitz in the first round... for me anyways.

I would completely disagree with you on all points.

First off Fitz will see far less double teams than he did last year during Boldins IR stint freeing him up to work over more CB's. The emergence of Breaston will only further this case.

Andre Johnson doesn't have a quarterback. Can't catch it if he can't throw it and Schaub has shown he is almost as likely to complete passes to DB's as he is to WR's. 18/33 for 166 and 1 INT today.

Brady to Moss may once again emerge as a top act in the league but Galloway will cut into the deep route threat that Moss solely posed in New England so I would hypothesize that his numbers won't be as great as they were 2 years ago.

In a PPR league Fitzgerald is a #1 pick. In a keeper league he is a top 5 pick and in a standard league he is a high first round pick. Unless you know something these guys don't.

I will give you the curse though. But 1400+ yards and 10+ TD's in each of the last 2 seasons is more than most of the HB's in the league. Why not a top 10 pick at the very worst?

Yawn... its late.. where do I start.
2008
Andre Johnson... had 115 receptions last season, 1,575 yards and 8 TDs.
Larry Fitzgerald... had 96 receptions, 1,431 yards and 12 TDs
This is with Andre Johnson's Starting QB missing 5 games... and having backup Sage Rosenshits tossing him the ball.

Its the first game of the season... Houston will be fine. They have a VERY good offense this season. Believe it.
Your WR ranks for Yahoo were just for this week.
Galloway won't cut into anything playing the slot position... (Moss with 12 receptions tonight)
In non PPR leagues, a WR will never bring you home a championship... so none should be considered a top 10 pick unless you can get a top 10 quality RB on the turn. (Just my thoughts.)

Like I said... I like Fitz! Just wasn't touching him this season for the price he was going for.

Yeah I posted the wrong link for the yahoo rankings.

Either way last years stats in a standard Yahoo league led to 215 points. Andre's led to 206. So pretty much a wash there. I am just not sold on Houston having anything resembling an offensive plan and they only reinforced that with today's miserable showing. They were shutout if it weren't for Sanchez's "other" TD pass on the day.

We will see though. Maybe you will turn out to be right about Houston, I just can't see it. They have been so lackluster in the past that I can't foresee them making that many changes. Throw in the glass house that is Schaub's body and they are set up for a long disappointing year in my estimation.

Moss had a great game but Watson stole all his TD's tonight. As a long time Patriots fan I had to check and make sure it wasn't 2007 still!!!
