LION

Johannesburg Jackals vs. Dakar Vampires
Dakar looked impressive to start the season. They went 3-1, and had a nice win over the Blue Balls. Since then however, they have gone 2-5, and will probably finish the season in 10th place. Look for them to bounce back next season though. JJ wins here, 40-10

The Nile Denial vs. Zulu Death Warriors
TND is looking good through a tough part in their schedule, beating the Headhunters, and CWE in consecutive weeks. Zulu has been fighting all season long, and now find themselves in a 5 team 7-4 log jam for the final 4 playoff spots. They face off against AP next week, and in my mind, they need to win one of these games to make the playoffs. I don’t see it being this one though. TND wins 38-32, despite Fast Eddies best efforts.

Carthaginian War Elephants vs. Answer Please
This should be a great game, and is the GOTW in Lion IMO. CWE has been looking pretty good lately, despite a 6 point loss to TND (which is nothing to be ashamed of). AP is coming off a very impressive win over the Headhunters, and look to keep winning so that they can lock up that #3 seed for the playoffs. Tough matchup, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it went the other way, but I’m going to take AP to win this one, 35-27

Dryden Blue Balls vs. PTT Rebels
This is another game that has huge playoff implications. PTT is another of those log jammed teams, and if they win this, I think they would be looking really good in the playoff picture. Dryden jumped up to the #4 spot with a nice win over CollegeTown. They are hell bent on a home game come playoff time, and a loss here would be a pretty big hurdle to overcome on the way to that goal. I’ve said all season that I like the Blue Balls, and it doesn’t change here. DBB wins 27-20

Rwanda Headhunters vs. Newfoundland Norsemen
That loss to AP really hurt the Headhunters last week, as we see them drop out of the top 4. The good news? They have NN and Somalia in back to back weeks, to help them prepare for the Blue Balls in 3 weeks. They better be cramming for this test, if they want that home playoff game money. Rwanda wins big here.

CollegeTown USA vs. Mean Machine
CollegeTown is another team on that 7-4 bubble. Will they be the team left out come playoff time? I’m pretty sure that it’s going to come down to tie breakers, so they need to put up as many points as possible in the coming weeks. (I hate that tie breaker, buy the way) CollegeTown has no trouble with MM.

Tangiers Cape Buffalo vs. Flashdancing Platypi
TCB by a ton

Somalia Shango vs. Band of Brothers
I don’t really have much to say here. Somalia wins this one.

ELEPHANT

Blood Diamond Marauders vs. Asmara Freedom Fighters
BDM has played all of the tough part of their schedule, and will get to play on cruise control for the rest of the regular season. AFF is just trying to gear up for next season. BDM wins 45-10

Mamelodi Night Runners vs. Choctaw Cracker Party
GOTW Elephant: MNR looked great last week, in a big win over RR. Choctaw is playing as well as ever, and already has a home playoff game all but locked up. If MNR wins this one, they will be the 2nd seed come playoff time, and Choctaw will be the 4th. If Choctaw wins, then we have a 3 way tie for the 2nd through 4th seeds, and it will come down to points scored. MNR looked too impressive last week for me to predict against them, so MNR to win 35-30

Rhodesia Ratels vs. Andorian Commandos
RR lost a tough one to MNR last week, but won’t lose again this regular season. Jessica Landry, Jessica Landry, Jessica Landry, Jessica Landry. RR wins 50-14

Swaziland Semnikati vs. Blood Bowl
Blood Bowl continues their decline into the cold dark abyss, and Swaziland keeps a firm hold on that 5th seed. SS wins 41-3

Corrupted Presidents vs. Teikoku Alexanders
I’m actually really interested in this game. The Presidents just keep a low profile, and keep winning. They have a few tough games left on the schedule, but still have good shot at the playoffs. TA is in a MUST WIN situation. They need to win this game, in order to make the playoffs, but I think they have a shot to do it. I like pulling for the underdogs, so I’m going to go with TA to win this one, 34-31

River Styx Jinx vs. ßotswana ßone ßreakers
RSJ wins this one big.

Seychelles Sabercats vs. Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas
The Sabercats lost a close game to Swaziland last week, but still have a hold on that all important 8th seed. SSBM are on the outside looking in now, after losing 4 in a row. I think it will be 5 in a row after this game, as SS wins 28-21

Bien Hoa Bushidos' vs. Gambia Diamond Cutters
Are the Bushidos going to win 2 games in a row? They sure are…. Watch out!

Nice game War Elephants. Our offensive AI tweaked to "do whatever you want" when we took 37-3 lead, so I guess 40-31 looks fine to you after first 30 minutes of the game.

And, of course, congratulations for being first team in Season 11 to have interception against our QBs. Once again, really nice effort, especially in 2nd half.

Good luck in rest of the season.

I'm pretty surprised by the Nile Denial game with Zulu. Zulu really stepped up and made a statement that they are in the running for that #4 seed in the playoffs. Very impressive win.

Agreed. That was a pretty big game for Zulu defensively. They really played a great game of bend but don't break. The Zulu punter averaged 12 yards more then TND's which really helped with the field position.

PTT also stepped up big when they needed to, and beat a good Blue Balls team. This conference is very competitive!

On the Elephant side, MNR beat Choctaw pretty decisively. I'm not surprised by the outcome, but I did think it would be closer. I guess the top 4 seeds in Elephant is already decided now.

Nice game by Teikoku as well! The last 4 spots in Elephant look like they will come down to a photo finish.

Fun week guys!

By the way, I forgot to say that War Elephants have best pass-protection I've seen in our Conference so far. Nice work, guys. Really.

thanx that did go pretty nicely now our next game is against Swaziland and we're still in a must win situation coz we lost our first game and the teams we have a chance of overtaking won their first game which is a pretty essential game to win when its this close, lets hope they somehow accidentally only use basic settings lol.

Edit: corrupted presidents have the toughest schedule left its gonna be between us for 8th place most likely, altho that does mean facing the top team in the first round of the play offs regardless of who makes it lol
