They seem to have so many useful SAs, has anyone tried SA heavy builds for Olineman?

Possibly but I would still suggest covering the basics for building your players skills first.

most everyone suggests 10x capping everything and if you have any points left, bring one or two of your SAs up.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with putting lots of sa points into them ... say 3x cap on strength/blocking/agility and then lots and lots of SAs ...

Well I mean, my left tackle will have a bunch of high caps in attributes come next season, so at that point I very well may consider dumping a bunch of points into some of the pass block SA's, instead of using one and a half level ups worth of SP to raise my blocking attribute by 1.

Your left tackle still needs more speed, stamina, confidence, and vision. You should get speed up to 68, and the others up to 60+. Unless you have an SA that is enhanced with AE, your points will be much more effective building up your base build.

You're still not very clear with what you are asking. But you need to be more specific. As I stated in my previous post, build up your base player, then spend on SA's. If you have a piece of AE that enhances a GOOD SA, then it's OK to spend SOME points on on the SA.

I haven't done it personally, but I have seen OL that loaded up on SA at the expense of base attributes and they all sucked.

IMO - there is only one really good SA in the run blocking tree and that is get low. Cut block or pancake is ok for a 2nd run blocking SA depending on build, but you probably aren't going to have a build to use both of them.

The pass blocking SAs are decent, but C/RG usually don't need them (except Line General for C). Protect is great for LOT but doesn't do shit for ROT. Also, since OTs and LG need have 90+ blocking, 80+ agility, 70+ speed and vision, and 60+ confidence. LG needs 100+ strength and OTs need 95+ strength, so adding to the SAs of strong arm, shock block, and foundation has to be put on hold.

My LT is SA heavy. 9 or more in 3 pass blocking SAs. He functions fairly well. In particular I found that maxing foundation improved his performance vastly, to the point it's like 2 different players.

If I had it to do over again, I'd get str/blk/agi to 68 asap, and then either strength or blocking to 74. I see no need to ever have speed over the second cap for a LT. Second cap vision should be more than sufficient and first cap confidence has always been enough in my experience as well. After that I'd probably work on foundation and protector. For RT, since you can't get protector, and get low is cheaper, you can afford to take two attributes to 74.
