Elephant Conference Power Rankings
Elephant is the much more competitive conference in my opinion. I think the top couple teams are in Lion, but top to bottom Elephant is the best. In fact, Lion’s crap-tastic bottom feeders actually have hurt the Elephant’s. How, pray tell, you ask?
Well, when you look at the top two teams, they are undefeated partly because they were handed easy wins over bad teams in their first game. Egypt and the 916'ers drew Zambezi and Eden. Two of the worst draws any team could have received. This handicaps them a bit and inflates the others. This is not to say, CCC nor the Storm couldn’t have beat either team, it just simply isn’t fair matchups.
Top Dawg
Carson City - Looks to be the best of Elephant right now. They have played solid in each victory. They are the highest rated scouting bar of all Africa AA #3. They lead their conference in points allowed and points scored.
Contenders
Sahara Sand Storm - Very good team. A 1 point win over Central Africa puts them in the second slot for contenders. Tough one today against 916 could really muddle up the standings if they don’t bring their A game.
Egypt Fighting Tigers - I still stick to my earlier claim they may make it all the way, but now only to the conference championship. They have a couple holes they need to close to win those close games like they have lost this year.
Nigeria 916'ers - I am assuming our Nigerians actually hail from the great state of California where the Terminator resides. This team has only one Elephant loss to CCC and a close one at that. If they do their homework, a rematch may go their way.
Home Field Playoff Game?
Easy Company - These guys just look to laid back to win it all. They need to get a little nastier if they want to get to the top tier. But a couple more wins and they may get the home playoff money we all need.
Khalahari - When we Silverbacks scrimmaged them, they were new to AA and only a 60. They are now and 63 and they need a victory today to keep them in the running for a home playoff game. The playoffs are a lock for the newbies.
Playoffs
Rock and Roll - They have the toughest last 4 games in Elephant. They cannot afford a loss until then or it’s the seventh seed. They should not use the time with sex and drugs, but with scouting each of their last four opponents.
On the Bubble.
Here is the dividing line of Elephant. All the teams from here on out have lost to the top teams. So their head to head is crucial. They reward will be a loss to the top seed. But with that comes the money split of the concessions. With the need to buy EQ for their boys, Barefoot, Mankato, 69Mafia and Mayotte better win the round robin.
Wait until next year.
Nic Cage, first off, are you nic cage or a girl or boy who really likes him? I am not judging. You and Barcelona, New York, Alexandria and Cairo just need to marinate this year and get ready for next season. As a Lion Alum, I am actually pleased to see real teams at the bottom. I am actually jealous. You may not have any wins, but I hate hate hate hate playing CPU teams in the regular season.
There it is boys. This will change in only an hour and a half from now. But at least you have 8 games that matter. Enjoy!
