Great game from everyone over at the Reapers. That was a close one, so many good points.

How about the start of the second half? The #1 on the MVP list returns a kick to the house, and then kicks off to the #2 who returns it down to the 6ish before getting caught and fumbling. Wow, think that may determine the race in the end? We will see. Great ending too, Reapers pull ahead with under 3 mins to play, Nola passes right down the field and pulls ahead with 1:40 to play, then the reapers drive down to get picked...

All around great game, a lot to it. I hope that we get a chance for a rematch around week 18-19.

great game and what a hell of a comeback! 21 pts in a qtr against our D is impressive. Rarely do we give that up in a game, much less a qtr.

Take care of bidness and take care of NBA JAM!

That's a tall order, but we will do our best. You guys did a number on our proud defense too. It was a great game all around. The start of the second half was epic. Less than 10 yards from a back to back start of return TDs. It's rare to get that exciting and close of a game in GLB.

Here is how I look at it, and this is only my personal opinion and I could easily be wrong. We (Reapers) are a core group of players havin fun and learnin the game together. We have 48 players who average lvl 51. We are short on levels in several areas but have decent depth. We are swimmin in a big pond here, but are doin well because we are more than the sum of our parts, and communicate well and coordinate builds.

NBA Jam is a team that has been around a long time and has struggled at times, but have gotten their shtuff together the last few seasons for sure. They have won 49 straight games, and know how to recruit. That means 2 championships, so they must know how to game plan well in addition to all that. We are very proud of how well we stood up to you guys (Purples), and made it a game and gave it our all, and learned from it. Now we face the Jam who looking back seem to like to experiment with things when they feel its a safe game to do it. We expect them to see us as a threat and bring their A game. They have a full roster of players who average level 58. Level isn't everything, but if their players are built just as well as ours are (and to assume otherwise is arrogance), then that gives them a distinct advantage.

In short I respectfully disagree and feel that for the Reapers to beat the Jam this game would be a very tall order, and that we are definitely the underdogs. All that said, we will do our best and while we know we are not supposed to win, we still expect to win and will do everything we can to win...

Besides, no offense to the purples, if we knock off the Jam and they knock of the Purples in their meeting, and we manage to win the rest of the games (very hard to do with some tough teams we are facing like the stick warriros for example) then we can still have a chance to pull out the #1 seed. Unlikely? Sure, but that is no reason to shoot for it.

if the jam lose a game, we will probably get the 1 seed because we score more pts than everyone else...
we still have 1 or 2 255-0 games left...

Yeah, you are prolly right. I guess that means I need to game plan for the reapers to score tons of points on the 'easier' teams in order to have hope...Either way the home field doesn't matter except for money, which we are good on (thanks to a great financial leader & always making the playoffs), while it would be nice to get more cash saved up, I believe everyone on our team is upgraded fully and we have some cash to spare. So, as long as we get in the tournament and have a chance at a title, I am fine. That I think we have. Tough for us, though, but definitely do-able. We have some more learning to do before the post-season, both on our opponents and new ideas we try with tactics etc every game. I tried something brand new vs you guys and the result was decent, so I need to refine it for the playoffs.

That opening of the second half still makes me smile. The ups and downs. What if McNasty made those 6 extra yards? What if we managed to stop bush on the return? Good drama there. I really hope for a rematch in the playoffs. Not to get revenge, but for another great game.

Jam hasn't been around long at all. We bought the team in season 7 and it took us two seasons to get competitive. We started
with an empty stadium, and just recruited every season.

No crying here. I had been completely enamored with Slow. I actually talked to Pierre a few times, and asked him if he had a problem with me making a thread about how good he was.

ahh, when the season started I checked their history and it went way back. I guess you kept the history of the previous owner of your row in the database. Guess that's what happpens when you reuse the master index. My mistake. Do please understand, I hold your team in high regards as to their performance.

yeah we managed to pull it off. Course it really matters in the post-season but at least we let them know there was competition here. There are a number of good teams that are improving in the league and could make some noise and suprise people in the playoffs...
