LION

Johannesburg Jackals vs. Dryden Blue Balls
The game of the week in Lion pits the up and coming Dryden Blue Balls against the Jackals. I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m very impressed by the Blue Balls. They have a very good team, and continue to have impressive showings week after week. You know I can’t pick against my own team though! JJ wins 35-24

The Nile Denial vs. Band of Brothers
It is an off week in Lion, as many of the top teams are matching up against many of the bottom teams. The Nile Denial is right on track with their goal of a championship, and nothing changes that this week, as they beat up BoB by a bunch.

Rwanda Headhunters vs. Flashdancing Platypi
Another less than stellar game has Rwanda playing against the Platypi. I’m assuming that the Headhunters are already looking ahead to next weeks match up against TND, as their attention is not needed here. Headhunters by a ton. And on a side note, Billy Corman is THE BEST!

CollegeTown USA vs. Newfoundland Norsemen
CollegeTown is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Answer Please, and find themselves down to the 8th seed. The schedule gets a little easier in the next couple weeks, as they play NN this week, and Somalia next week. Needless to say, CTUSA wins big here.

Answer Please vs. PTT Rebels
Ah, finally another good matchup in Lion. AP coming off a close win against CollegeTown (what a difference a season makes huh?) takes on PTT, who just lost a 5 point battle against TND. Either team is more than capable of winning this game, and it will probably be another game that comes down to turnovers. I’m liking AP’s mojo this season though, so I’m going to run with them. AP wins 36-32

Carthaginian War Elephants vs. Dakar Vampires
CWE has looked good as of late, and look to continue that trend as they travel to Dakar. The Vampires are coming off a big loss to Rwanda, and are starting to slide further down the rankings. They now find themselves outside the playoff picture looking in. If they are to climb back into the mix, they need to win this week. I think that CWE is just too strong, and I’m picking them to win. 32-17

Zulu Death Warriors vs. Tangiers Cape Buffalo
Zulu comes into this game currently in 10th place in the standings, but they have had a pretty tough schedule so far. I still believe that they have a great shot at the playoffs, and they will start their run with a win this week over TCB. TCB won’t be relegated this season, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to be competitive next season. 45-16 Death Warriors

Somalia Shango vs. Mean Machine
This actually could be a good game. Two teams having less the stellar seasons would love to win this game as wins have become few and far between. I’m going with Mean Machine to win 41-32

ELEPHANT

Swaziland Semnikati vs. Rhodesia Ratels
Without a question the game of the week in Elephant. I guess that Swaziland showed us all that they’re for real, with a one point loss to BDM. That was a helluva game! Rhodesia just got done CRUSHING Blood Bowl, and are one of the hottest teams in the league. Swaziland has a tough couple of games with Choctaw up next week. These next two weeks will go far in determining home field advantage for the playoffs. I’m beginning to warm to Swaziland, but I think that the Jessica Landry's are just too much this week. 41-34 RR

Mamelodi Night Runners vs. River Styx Jinx
MNR gets their toughest matchup of the season thus far, as they travel to the River Styx, to take on the Jinx. RSJ are just keeping their head above water at 4-4, and would love to pull off the upset and take MNR down. MNR has an absolutely brutal next few weeks, as they take on BDM, RR, and Choctaw. Could MNR be looking past RSJ, and get caught with their pants down? I don’t think so. MNR wins this one 38-24.

Blood Diamond Marauders vs. Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas
BDM is on the 2nd leg of their Swaziland 2 step. Last game saw them squeak one out against the Semnikati, and this week, has them taking on the 5-3 Brown Mambas. SSBM have lost 2 of their last 3 after a 4-1 start, and need to find a cure for their troubles, if they are going to stay in the playoff picture. The loss last week to RSJ really hurt. Will they bounce back this week against BDM? Nope. 45-10 BDM

Blood Bowl vs. Choctaw Cracker Party
Blood Bowl is reeling after losing 3 in a row, and 4 of their last 5. Things don’t get a bit easier, as they face off against a very good Choctaw squad. Choctaw is absolutely getting it done defensively, as their opponents have combined to score 13 total points over their last 2 games. Their offense, however, is really struggling of late. The way the loltiebreakers are in this game, they really need to get their offense back on track, as they could be tied in record for a home playoff game at the end of the season. Choctaw wins this one 48-21

Seychelles Sabercats vs. Teikoku Alexanders
Seychelles started the season so hot, winning their first 4 games, including an impressive win against a very good Rwanda Headhunters team. They had to be thinking that the sky was the limit. Since then they have lost 4 in a row, and are in danger of falling out of playoff contention, if they don’t turn their season around. Teikoku started out horrible, at 1-4, but have gone 2-1 in their last 3, and seem to have a handle on things now. If they are to have any shot at the playoffs, they MUST win this game. That’s why I’m picking TA to win this one, 24-21.

Corrupted Presidents vs. Asmara Freedom Fighters
The Presidents currently sit at 4-4, and have an outside shot at the playoffs. AFF comes into the game just one game back from the Presidents, but that one game is a bigger gap than you might think. AFF just wasn't ready for AAA this season,(stupid WL) and are probably already looking ahead to next season. CP wins this one, 33-22

Andorian Commandos vs. Bien Hoa Bushidos'
Could the Bushidos’ start the season 0-9? Well, if the Commandos have anything to say about it, the answer to that question is yes. And they do, so I’m taking AC to win this one, by quite a bit.

Even our farm team has a bye week. I assume this next game will be the Game Of The Week as it pits 5 v 6 in the Power Rankings and 2 v 5 in Conference. I'm looking forward to it.

Sidenote: I had Nile Denial as my pre-season favorite to win the Conference.

Glad you like the new field. Figures you get it the week we play the Platypi. Still, you held up your end of the bargain and picked the Headhunters ... damn technicalities.

Brutal? I wouldn't call a few 48-24 type games brutal. Anyways no we're not looking past anyone.

48 yards on 24 rushes. Wyatt Daniel's stats when he plays Rhodesia.

Or is it 48 carries and 24 fumbles?!

Speakin of mojo, we've never beat those guys.
In Season 9 it was 24-41 ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=495541) and in Season 10 it was 27-32 for them ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=608252 )

But, in mojo we believe

Sadly, I only bid 1 new pair of knee pads for the dirty slut. She's worn out her old ones on our OC, trying to get more carries.

We had a squeaker against the Platypi ... only 53 TD's.

After seeing what Rhodesia did to the Semnikati, you can't tell me that the Semnikati didn't team boost against BDM. Not that I didn't expect them to team boost, I pretty much knew that they would. But don't come in here and and say that only 1 player boosted for that game.

Good job Rhodesia and Jessica!
