Do people use them and when? What teams are teams going to use coordinated bonus token boosts for?

About half my guys have two pieces of AEQ (all of my younger players do) so they dont boost. I have a few that do. Is it the best teams or is it gameplan specific? Just curious if anyone here would share their thoughts.

The reason I wonder is if you are going to be a playoff team and boost against a team that you may face in the playoffs it may give you a false sense of what works and what doesnt. But it can also work the other way.

As an example, last season I boosted some of my guys vrs Dakar and then in the playoffs I was never comfortable with our gameplan. I didnt vrs EGE in the regular season and thought we had a much better grasp of what would work in the playoffs. Probably giving up too much information, but I am interested if anyone would share their thoughts.

I don't think boosting at these levels does much anyways. Basically, you're taking an attribute from 100 to 105 for one game. That's 5% of one part of an equation. Basically, you're looking at maybe a 1-2% improvement in a player at the most. So, if you're going to use them, it would be against teams that you are very close to. Wouldn't make sense to use them against GRitS for example. Overall though, I know that Dakar hasn't coordinated a token boost either this season or last and I didn't OC before that, but I know it's been a while since we have. I know my guy on Dakar is still working on AEQ so that's where all his go.

If I was Boston, I'd target teams like us, Cairo, Ocho Cinco (which is why I suppose you're asking this question right now), Warlords and ABD.

Here's my view on it. Some of the older players were past the point of getting much return by purchasing AEQ when they found out it wasn't a total waste. So, at that point, no sense in purchasing AEQ. Those players should be token boosting for sure(probably teams like ASM, DeSWK, etc.). However, your players with AEQ should be spending it on AEQ, and if they have two pieces, then they better not waste tokens boosting.

As far as boosting versus teams you'll play in the playoffs, I don't worry about it now, but I know what you mean. Now, I figure if I token boost for a team, they are likely token boosting for us too. I understand though if you aren't one of the teams with a target on your back. Generally, token boosting is for the best teams and then what you boost is usually gameplan specific.

I use them on my dedicated special teammers on another squad...mainly since those guys are converted, older, and not getting EQ anymore.

I never use them and our team hasn't used them at all this season. I like to get a minimum of 2 pieces of AE, sometimes 3 if you start early enough. The only time I would use them was if my team was in a battle for a Top 4 spot, if there was one game that could clinch for us, I would use it against equal talent. The Dogs don't need to token boost, they will be a Top 4 team. Woof!

Tomorrows game will tell alot bout the season 11 Dogs.

My top 8 would be:

1) Somalia Pirates
2) Ghost Riders
3) Cairo
3) ABD
3) Dakar
3) Boston Dogs

On the fence would be The Chad and the Somalia Warlords who have played some tough teams and done well. ABD has a nice little stretch right now which will either cement themselves in the Top 4 or make them have to fight it out until the end. Put Cairo in that mix as well, they get a win tomorrow and then have to face the Riders and ABD back to back which also could put them in the drivers seat or outside looking in. I think the battle for 4-8 is going to make our season very exciting right down to the end.

As far as the Dogs, if they keep winning the ones they are supposed to, it is very realistic to see them with only 3 losses which should be good for a top spot. Being from Boston, I might be a little biased....

Now what about for Lion...

Damn Palmer, I was hoping you would take care of that, or where the hell is Vegas, that is his baby! Quickly though:

1) Angola Spider Monkeez
2) Sea Wolves - sandbagging not allowed!
3) Ridgebacks much improved
4) Pangini


I think in the end the Wolves and Monkeez will battle it out to represent the Lion.....

I am not asking for our team, just curious what other teams do. As I said, my younger players have saved all of theirs, some of my season 2 guys (I think we have like 12 actual starters on the Dogs) have only 1 piece of AEQ and it never made sense to get a second piece.

As far as AEQ in general goes, three pieces can work if you start on day one and dont boost for a season or two, otherwise it is tough since you will never catch up. During a 40 game season you get 80 training points, or exactly 16 bonus tokens. With the odd ones thrown in during offseason, say another 4, you might be able to maintain 3, but if you dont have 3 fully upgraded you are never going to catch up unless you don't boost. I have 3 on a bunch of my SSB guys on my team and should be able to keep them close to fully upgraded.

As far as the Dogs, I think Dakar, Ocho, and Cairo are all going to be tough games and throw in 3 other high probability losses and we could easily be 12-6 which would make me very happy for our first season here.

10-6. I think we'll probably end up with 11 wins, and a 5 or 6 seed. I'd definitely be happy with that.

No DSWK? I reckon they're better than Pangani still.
