Hey just visiting from the bugeaters. Hopefully this is a good league we are a very active team.

Should be fun, but the SanFran Queens are going to keep dropping all the way down to BBB with that roster. SanFran Queens, the name is fitting though!

Good luck to the new teams in the west, should be fun.

The Terror got gutted and the owner is starting almost from the bottom. Going to be tough going for them this year.

They are now the Colorado Ice

Man, there really needs to be more that can be done about teams being gutted. The new owner has really walked into a tough position.

I agree completley, its happening in every league from the USA Pro on down. They really need to implement something to stop gutting.

Oklahoma looks pretty solid. How did they ever get relegated?

On gutting, here is a question for you: how is it different than owning a new team when you walk in? Unless you're starting with less than 500K, you're not much worse off, in my opinion.

Cleveland Elves are also here now as a replacement for Detroit. Were hoping for some good ole fashioned competition to be sure and it looks like in the west its gonna be very tough competition at that!

because when you buy a team that has been gutted, they are usually in established leagues with a huge lvl advantage. When you buy a team that hasn't been gutted, it's usually with other teams that were created at the same time. Also in one of the new africa leagues one of my players is in, one of the teams is a spawn from two gutted teams. So, basically, gutting is bad

Anytime anyone gives up a team, it basically guts itself because most of the players on the team choose to leave rather than be subject to an unknown owner who could be anywhere from great to horrible. I don't see a way around teams being "gutted" when they change ownership unless there is always someone on the team willing to take it over - and even then, I'd bet some players would prefer to leave. It's a lousy situation to be certain.

Hey I'm the owner of the Ice. So far its been a struggle just to find human players to fill my roster. Hopefully soon business will pick up or I will have to find a way to get the team kicked down a level to compete with the cpu players that im stuck with.

good luck to you guys.

At this point, just try to pick up players (for a 2 year contract) of any level. You can't guarantee much except for a starting position and plenty of play time. Start even level 1 newbies over your current roster of computers. You might lose every game this season, but with a 2 year contract, that will put you in the BBB with a bunch of guys who are (at least) level 10+. You'll have a chance to be competitive.

Best case scenario is that you can pick up guys who are level 4-5 backups that want more playtime. Again, you might only win a game or two, but a 2 year contract with such players will give you a chance to compete next year at least with a roster full of level 13+ players.

Some might drop due to inactivity, but by midseason there will be people clamoring for a team to play on and you can pick up some good free agents at that time. Also check the "d leagues" for active players that land on a computer's team over the next week or so. They'd probably like a pay raise and more playing time on a human team.
