Mmm, that's kind of debatable. I mean yeah, Jones does collect talent, but you're implying that Jones puts together great teams. He kind of did once, and that was by accident. I'm talkin about Jimmy Johnson. He got rid of JJ because Johnson was getting the credit, not Jones. Jones cares more about attention than winning (and that should be obvious to all after the '07 and '08 seasons). After Johnson was gone, it was his system that won in '95. Soon thereafter, his influence on the Cowboys was finally done, and they hadn't won a playoff game since.
If Al Davis weren't in the NFL, Jerry Jones would be my least liked owner in the NFL. I prefer guys like Ralph Wilson Jr, Art Rooney Jr, Pat Bowlen, or Robert Kraft. They own the team, and that's all they do. They bring in good GMs and coaches, and let them do everything. Those are the successful teams.
Edit: Just a rant, not directed at anyone but Jerry Jones/Al Davis.Fair enough, but Jones is the man...The Boys constantly have the highest ratings, and now the biggest stadium...So maybe Jones sucks as an owner, but he is number 1 for money, and NFL worth
