Bored, tired of seeing nothing posted on the forum, and not fulling understanding what the hell to make of JefferyD's ranks, I decided to throw this together to at least get some conversation going. These are totally "left field" rankings, so make of them what you will.
1. Mighty Chihuahuas- Still haven't figured out why they didn't request to be put in a conference more suited to their team, but with more level 60's than most AAA teams, they are my odds on favorite to Yo Quiero Championship.
2. Warsaw Warlords- Solid defense- several starters in the level 60 range. Excellent depth on the offensive line- even when the second string rotates in they are only dropping a level or two. I have a little history with these guys, they put a lot of effort in to planning and it shows on the field. Will have to conquer the pups to get a championship.
3. Zurich Scorpions- Nice looking Oline, should give the QB plenty of time to chuck the pigskin. Little concerned with the ground game, but hell maybe the builds are great, and they do have the previously mentioned Oline. Secondary could be a little suspect, beyond the starters there is a disparity in levels to the backups. I don't know that they have enough sting to overtake the top two, but they have an oportunity to inpress.
4. Kaohsiung Casino Royale B&B- Descent looking Oline, could be a little suspect up the middle with their Centers and Guards, running back by committee could be a plus, will keep each fresh, although one might be a returner (hell if I know, and I am too lazy to look). Look a little lite on the DEs, might have to generate a pass rush from the LB positions. 15-17 level drop in the safety backups could help opponents open up the passing game. With a good roll of the dice, they can be playing for home field advantage.
5. Lisbon Crusaders- Nice depth on the Oline, twin rushing attack, a little light on the WR corps, time will tell if they can get the passing game going. Defense shows up game in and game out. Crusaders are hoping the house folds, giving up that home field. Odds are even at this point.
6. Bubonic Plague- 4-6 will be a fight. The black death looks a lot like the two teams ranked ahead of it. Solid depth across the board will lead to their success. Tandem running backs should be able to pound the disease into opponents. No glaring flaws on defense, solid game planning will put them over the top, time will tell if this epidemic will spread or be eradicated.
7. KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE- Need to add a little to their Oline, still look to be trying to improve it. HBs are a little under leveled, but who knows what the HBs have under their tunics? If they can generate enough yds to help out the passing game, they could sneak out an extra game or two. Need another DE to help keep the current trio fresh. Should be jousting it our until the end with the Mercs for the last couple playoff spots.
8. Lucerne Mercenaries- 8 CBs & 8 LBs can't go wrong. Short handed at DE, but with LBs to spare, maybe they can fill in for depth. Oline If a little light at Center and Guard positions. Serious looking passing attack, could really generate an offense if they can get it rolling. Could really be ranked as high as 6th, but I put them at 8th because they are my rankings. If they can hire a few new killers on the Oline it could really provide a better rotation for the big boys up front.
9. Glasgow Tigers- 3 CBs and 4 LBs, serious depth issues after you get past the starters. If they can drop some of those CPUs off the roster and add another few pieces they could make some serious noise. Should have a good passing attack, as long as they stay in a three wide set. Starters look good, but hell they can only stay in the game so long. Tiger should be tamed this season, finishing just outside the playoff hunt. (get to recruiting!)
10. Passion Fruits- Oline is missing Tackles, Centers are on the lower side of the power curve, but could be great builds? Dual level 48 HBs could have something to prove, but at this point I am saying they will struggle behind that Oline. Passing game might help the running game, if they can keep the QB upright. Could use another CB, DE, and LB. This season could turn passion fruit to fruit salad. Still time to add a few more pieces!
11. Barcelona Brahma Bulls- Need more linemen on offense, passing game will not blow anyone away this season. Could use another Deep threat or two. Defense needs another 2 LBs, DE, CB. Matadors could have their way with the Bulls this season. Keep trying to find another body or two and thinks could look up a little.
12. GulfCoast Gators- Could use another G, T, and the #4/5 WRs might be a little overmatched. On defense the LB corps could see a lot of action, hope they are up to the challenge HBs in AA can present. Secondary could see a lot of action as well with all the 55+ WRs blazing down the field. Nice starters at a few positions, if they can stay fresh, the TE could be able to run amok across the middle. Gators could be chomping at the Bulls and Fruits to move up the food chain.
13. Tallahassee Noles- Starting lineup looks GREAT! Then you start searching for the backups??? Depth is going to kill you down the road, might be better off just forcing the starters all game long. Noles chasing the Gators up the line, I smell rivalry! Fill out the roster and you could be hitting the playoffs- I just don't see much success with your current roster.
14. Essen Pumas- They have a HB, that's about all that put them ahead of the other two cellar dwellers. This Puma has no bite.
15. The Boozehound- They have a HB, LB, and a DT- could really challenge for the 14 spot.
16. Marseille 76ers- They have a LB, I smell defensive MVP here! Should lead the team in tackles at least.
Pending your criticism, that's a wrap on two hours of my life I will never get back.
