Recruiting is becoming more difficult every season. I'm sure some of you have no problem, but convincing the better players to play in AA, when there is so many options, is getting difficult. I'm also recruiting for an AAA team, and it seems it's even harder to recruit for.

Eventually Bort has to stop giving out teams and expanding leagues as frequently. I know the game is growing, but is it growing as fast as he is giving out teams?

Sorry, just had to vent a little. All of these rejection notices are getting on my nerves.

unfortunately the problem is that players get so many offers that its a toss up. they dont really know how the team will be becuase they have not experienced a season with them. some teams have more publication then others but many players only want to be starters and put up huge meaningless stats or get huge contracts which dont mean anything either.

i sorta chuckled myself when i saw borts post about giving out more teams becuase its seems like its a never ending release of teams each season yet there are so many cpu teams and crappy teams in each league that dont deserve to be there.

i also thought he should continue doing level caps for the minors after level 38 that way teams can continue to be in a equal level leagues until they get to the aa leagues where then its fair game. that would also make it so that teams can be so crappy with level 60 players that they are in the minors. it would force those players to go to the higher tier leagues where they belong and thus force the lower players who might be on higher tier players into their correct tiers as well.

i sometimes wonder how long this game will be in this beta stage...

Especially with the way the cap level jumps have been. We were level 34 cap and got jumped to uncapped with mid 30 leveled players playing against lvl 45+ players. It forces you to have to recruit more often just to stay competitive. I've brought in a slew of high level players, changed my team name and am ready to roll with my now low chemistry. They really need to leave things be. If teams can't win, recruit and game plan better for crying out loud.

recruiting sucks balls. Trying to find a TE is near impossible and their is not any for trade either..

There are no "Low demand" players when you create a new player. However, there are several "high demand" players. I think that shows us all that too many teams are being given out.

Or people dont make the right ones. Theyd make a QB even though its a very low demand

I wonder the same thing.

I haven't really recruited in a couple of seasons. I fill my holes with the draft and then send out a bunch of generic contracts a couple of days in the offseason and hope people sign.

The whole issue is the new world league which makes it hard for our levels and above to recruit.. It took me, until today to get my last players. Plus some people are asking ridiculous amount of salary 19k for a level 63 player. My god its a damn game it's not like you can use the money for yourself.

The world league is not the issue at all. All the players wanting World would have just wanted Pro.

The whole issue is the 10 season plateau. All season 1 players have had to decide to retire or not, even though they won't be getting XP the whole season anymore. So many players retiring is all it is, not the WPL. Most the WPL teams haven't been big recruiters in public areas before (all private stuff), but now with their players retiring, they need to recruit more.

More high levels being recruited by WPL and Pro teams, = less high level players for AA.

I'm not a brain surgeon, or a rocket scientist, but I'm pretty sure you just contradicted yourself.

The world league is a huge reason for the difficulty in recruiting for AA. It's a Trickle-down effect.

Idk if I said something wrong, I often ramble.

But, all the top FA's have always wanted to go to the top teams. AA uncapped has always been hard. What is making it harder this season than the past is the 10 season plateau. More top players are retiring. With the top players retiring, AA teams have to look for lower guys.

IMO, this is the way it should have been, and the way Bort envisioned.

WPL and Pro get the best players
AAA gets the next best
AA gets the worst out of capped leagues

In the past, so many people were around the same level, AA teams could have the same levels as Pro, now with retirements, AA teams should be getting more of the 40-50 level players, AAA, 47-57ish, Pro 55-65+ (w/e the top is right now, before boosting).

I guess I'm lucky with loyal agents and friends who are more than willing to come over to my team than going to AAA, Pro, World leagues. Knowing an owner who treats players well. Equal play time, EQ paid for and no bull shit tends to help keeping high level players. I never promise anything I can not keep. I never promise championships, playoffs runs. It's a game and even the best game plans fail.

I have gotten a lot of players outside of the levels I should have as well do to connections. We had a 62 QB in Minors Uncapped last season

I dont know if I can agree with that logic. Its an open market. Players do not simply choose teams becuase of their league. iF they did why would any of the teams in far down levels play? I think most teams have aspirations of making it to the pros, but if the players that can take you there only go to the pro teams how is there any movement? Teams that rebuild and move out of the top leagues would no longer have to as the players would be going there.

I believe that the declining aspect does put a twist into things, as if you get stuck without having a farm team to replace your talent having to recruit a whole new team is a very daunting task.

I think it will be interesting to see how teams realign there rosters as I assume you dont want to sign players to just stick around one year every season.
