You guys played one HELL of a game, and I mean that.

Not that we don't respect your defense, because we do. But our #1 offense was at its peak coming into this game, scoring 60 and 70 points against defense's like the Headhunters and Lumberjacks. We didn't see ANY way your defense would keep us from scoring 40-50 points on you guys. We knew we had to be wary of your INT crazy secondary, but we established plays that we thought would minimize that.

On defense, I spent a week and a half scouting you guys. I scouted every game you guys played this year, including your scrimmages. I know your offense better than you do. I created custom plays for every single down, to stop your 75% Weak I pitch left on first downs, your 79% I slam on 2nd downs, to stuff your Strong I HB screens and FB passes, and to keep your WR's out of the endzone. Everything worked, and we held possibly the best offense Africa AAA has ever seen to 266 total yards.

However, you still blew us out, because your defense did exactly what we didn't think it could possibly do: Shut down our high-powered offense.

My hat goes off to you guys 10 times over for doing that. You destroyed our offense, two huge pick 6's by you guys, that kept us out of it. And it didn't help that both of the fumbles we forced in crucial situations got recovered again by an Ocho player

Great game to you guys, you are the champs, and congrats from African Fever. This is without a doubt the toughest loss to swallow I've ever had, as I thought we were a lock to win this game. We should have alot of fun tearing it up in Pro next season!

GG Fever

The Headhunters defense was missing "something" this season, that is all I will say.

I really thought if our scouting turned out to be accurate that we could hold you under 30 points but I didn't really expect to only allow 16 points AND score 14 points too.........that nets out to 2 points allowed by the D right? That is how it works?

Also I was hoping the fact that I barely changed our defense all season long would help me out since I could take some different approaches in some areas. But shoot, as good as you guys had been playing even with all that preparation our dots still had to make the plays.

I tip my hat to Tareton and turk our owner and OC respectively. They assembled one hell of a team and while I knew they would be a contender this season I never imagined a 20-0 run. I never realized how much talent they got on the 85s until I actually joined them.

I'm sure we will see the Fever again in the Pro League.

Yea for sure, you guys had one hell of a high - powered team this season. You added so many high level pieces, i didn't think anybody would be able to contend with you. I had a feeling about week 5 that we were definitely going to meet in the championship, but i didn't see any way of us having a real shot at beating you guys and your high level players, until we started performing the way we did in the 2nd half. Our offense was putting up huge numbers against great defenses, and I thought that would be our key.

I have nothing to hang my head about though, as the defense I put together had every bit of success I hoped it would, and then some. But it still hurts to end a 19-0 season with a loss in the final game. All we've done is win since we started this team, with a career record of 80-18, which is something to be proud about. But its hard to compete like this in every division when you come in outleveled at every positon by 3-5. I'm sure both our teams will compete in pro next season, and we'll definitely be seeing more of each other. And now we have some pretty cool history as well

The Fever are a top tier team if we have ever played one and I am very proud to have won Africa AAA#2 by having to go through the class of the league. Hopefully this budding rivalry gets a chance to bloom in the Pro's next season as we move up to play the best Africa has to offer.

My only regret this season is AAA#1 not actually going through with the challenges they proposed. It is likely for the best on their part as I can't imagine any team playing as well as the two did today on the field.

Amazing game for a trophy today and I look forward to future meetings between our squads.

of course i did. that was an impressive game. But I think its safe to say our offense is a little better than Swaziland. Plus we scored more than twice as many points as you guys did on them.

I'm just saying this loss is a tough pill to swallow, after being so confident we would win, because we had more rushing yards, more passing yards, were sacked less, controlled the ball longer and forced more turnovers/opportunities. Yet not only did we lose, but lost by over twice the points. Sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. Today was Ocho's day for certain

I'm usually pretty quiet on public forums but I had to pop in and tip my hat to everyone with African Fever. You have an amazing team put together and some scary good players. Combine that with the freakishly superb scouting and planning and I'll say you pretty much solidified my season 10 ulcer

Well played. See you in A-Pro where I'm sure we'll both get a hard dose of reality once we realize that we're gonna have to plan like this for each and every game just to remain competitive.

Congratz on the fantastic game!

I don't know if I can handle that! I spent so much time and stress scouting you guys, only to lose, I can't take any more losses like this! Pro will probably be a rude awakening for us, but I look for us to be very competitive in season 2, as the high level players will experience the decline badly by then. And just to play in Pro is a priveledge after coming from the A leagues just 5 seasons ago.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been through the same thing back in season 3.

Worked up from season 1 A to season 4 pro. If you really want to feel good about yourself, check out the season 1, 2 and 3 league final games. We were so destined to be the Buffalo Bills

wow. congrats on an amazing season Fever, you guys are a helluva good team. we spent more time scouting you guys than we had everyone else combined this year. knew that defense was gonna be tough as hell, and it certainly delivered. i probably made a mistake by going away from what had worked for us all year, but the conservative approach got the result we wanted.

big shout out to URL54, best DC i've ever had the pleasure of watching work. i think our defense was a little overlooked all season long. i knew that once we opened it up it was gonna be scary tough.

best of luck next season, we'll have to do this again

Yeah we are underleveled by even more on offense , but we were the only team that played both the Fever and OchoCinco and only lost by a combined 2 points. Our game against the Fever, we lost by 1 point on a last minute field goal and we missed a damn extra point in that game. Also, I had thought I had changed our kickoff team depth chart before that game, but it somehow it didn't take my adjustments and still had some offensive players on the kickoff team, and wouldn't you know the Fever scored on a Kickoff return. Our game with Ocho we lost on a stalled drive at the Ocho Cinco 39 yard line with less than 2 minutes left in the game. I know, excuses, excuses! We'll hope to see you both up there in the Pros one of these seasons, but our offense does need work. Good Luck in the Pros, I hear it's a rough road for newly promoted AAA teams. At least you won't have to worry about Windhoek and a few other Pro teams.

Thanks. I think the World League will take some of the top tier teams out of Africa Pro, but they say A Pro is the 2nd toughest Pro league next to USA. These are all the best teams who've ever played in Africa. It should be a pretty exciting ride.
