Any list without LaShondra on it is bogus.

You have to look at how each player performed in actual games, instead of guts. For example, Reggie has more sacks than Denver because he picked up 45 in two games versus gutted teams.

At the same time, Denver plays on a defense built around letting him wrack havoc. Does that make him better than the guys who don't pick up the stats but perform their role perfectly?

I don't know the answer.

I don't think anyone is putting denver down. everyone had to pay respect to him while gameplanning. Reggie was the same way. You knew he was there and you knew you had to worry about him. Liquid rush was the same way.

I didn't take it as who's better than the other, just who was game changers.

Call it homer, but Denver out did himself this year coming off one of his best performances of the year.

Not only did he finish defensive MVP for the better conference (Zeta) for a 2nd year but he finished top 10 in sack, hurries, tackles and fumbles forced. All fighting players who padded against gutted teams. Thats impressive!

He continues to be a force to be reckoned with out there.

Reggie has 40 out of 66 sacks against 2 gutted teams. Denver and Tank both have less than 10 and are the two true sack champions of the OPL.

Denver is one of the OPL greats and something we should all be proud of as a league. (Sorry imma sappy drunk, back to MLB the Show 09)

Not necessarily, it just makes him the franchise player.

I was content with just getting the win your guys' first season in OPL when I still had IC Incinerators active, despite him having a beast of a game. He definitely has my respect.

Denver's great, I'd give him the nod personally over Reggie but on the same token I think it's easier for a LB in a well designed scheme to get sacks than it is for a DE... except against gutted teams and then the DE's rule the day.

Reggie just came here for one season to give some OPL QB's some grief. He's headed back to USAPL (maybe WPL depending on tomorrow's games) but I'll be bringing another stellar DE, Aaron Warren, to the Gunners because jb's a great guy and I like the direction his team is taking.

Denver is easily the main reason So Cal beat us week 16, so Denver clearly owns my vote.

Not to sound bitter or anything, I have to add that Denver & your DC take advantage of the horrible LG blocking AI... but I try to do the same thing... I just don't have a LB quite that good.

On a related note, I recall watching Denver The Last Dinosaur weekday mornings before elementary school...

Heyyyyyy good to see Warrick finally getting some league recognition. It's only been 10 seasons coming, lol

I agree with John and Primus, on defense Liquid Rush is up there with Denver. I watched a ton of Zeta defensive play this season and nobody impressed me more than him.

On offense, I would be a homer and say the Tigers OL. As their representative, Jumbo Centers would be my choice for O MVP.

Good points made on the gutted teams. For example some of us had to play a full strength Bonzai while most of your played the gutted version.

I added Liquid Rush to the list....not sure why I forgot about him?
