Hazy, are you going to be doing this for all the leagues (making sure teams in-league don't meet until the third round) or is this just so the WPL can have a better chance to advance? Because, if not, this really smacks of WPL favortism, and I see no reason for non WPL teams to participate.

been like that for seasons with USAPL teams playing scrubs from weaker regions so they can advance deep into the tourny.
I would expect no different now...

Quickest example for me to find since it was in my team forum prior to being DQ'd because lower seed didn't send challenge
#1 OFG plays no one even remotely close to being good in their first 3 games
#2 Marblehead Longhorns has to play 2 USAPL teams then a home playoff team from CPL
#3 HHW again USA team stacked for success...CCC is only team worth mentioning
#4 Louisiana Screaming Pelicans seriously LSP, Manus and Osaka in the same group...all 3 went to their conferences title game. Better have those outside regions beat up on each other while USAPL can run basic AI first 3 rounds.
