Nothing really unexpected happened in the first round, although Bama narrowly escaped with a win against iue5, but when has that game ever been anything but close?
Sydney came out firing on all cylinders, and put away the Quebec Eh's in a pretty convincing win, in what was expected to be a much closer game.
No suprises from Alpha in the first round, so let's take a look at round 2.
In Alpha, Cook Island takes on the undefeated Headhunters. The Power Rangers didn't fare so well in their regular season matchup with The Headhunters, and I wouldn't expect a different outcome this time. Good luck Cook Island.....
Tricity takes on Springville in what promises to be a humdinger of a game!! Tricity narrowly edged out the Renegades in their regular season matchup, and this one should be just as close!!! Question is, who will come out on top? The Renegades are looking for a little payback, so the Cardinals better bring everything they have, or they may be sent back to their nest with a loss!
The real action is gonna be in Zeta, as usual!!
Rutgers and Sydney meet up again, and Rutgers is still feeling the burn that the Flames put on them in their 1st matchup. Sydney wow'd the Oceania AA league with an impressive victory over The Silent Willies, that had all the Willies actually yelling and making some noise! Rutgers definitely has revenge on their mind, and that should give them some added incentive to win this game, but the Flames are burning brightly right now, so this should be a great game!!
The AREC takes on the Ghosts from Newcastle, after pulling out an eye opening victory only just 2 games ago. But don't let the score of their first game fool you, as it was a lot closer than it looked. Bama really took the life out of the Ghosts by taking advantage of some special team turnovers. Bama had luck on it's side in that game, and will definitely need some more luck if they want to come away with another win. The Ghost's don't die easily, so expect this game to be a lot closer than their first meeting with the Red Elephants!!!
