Ok, I was waiting to post this until we got to the point that it needed to be said. We had very worth opponents for both weeks and I didnt want to jump the gun.

About a week ago, we were approached by a team in Europe West Pro asking if we wanted to move up. After discussing it with the team, we decided that it would be best for everyone if we did so and so we agreed and sent our request to the Admins to be processed at the end of the season. The one catch is that we have to be in Europe West AA at the end of the season or the deal is off. Now that we are fast approaching the division game, where the winner goes to the superbowl and advances to AAA (no matter the outcome), we are in the position of having to lose the division championship game. It sits poorly with all of us on the Trolls, but we have zero choice. On the good side, the Features are a hell of a team and I would think a straight up game could go either way - so they are definitely a worthy team to represent Zeta. The other bonus here is that the Features are probably better matched in AAA or pro as well, and this guarantees that 2 teams from Zeta move up - which will make zeta more balanced in the long run.

I hope you folks will indulge us in this opportunity to move up to pro and wish the Features the best of luck in the super bowl.


Features, we will be pulling a vast majority of our starters and rushing 100% up the middle. We will also be moving people around as to reduce the possibility of the computer putting us back on track (our Center always wanted to carry the ball anyway)

Maybe this is just a big bluff

You could put offensive guys on defense and the other way around gief defensive gameplan as well

I'm nervous that we might not win even though you tell us the tactics, since we have a history of failing when it seems to be straight ahead

Could I see some proof that this is not a bluff?

Apparently that's not. Better for the team (and game) worst for the playoff game

I got the same offer from that team...I thought it was Bush League, and an injustice to the rest of the league that has battled hard all year. I atleast talked it over to our team, and not one guy on our team wanted to take the easy way to the Pro League, and as far as throwing a game if it come to it, to stay in AA, that never crossed our minds.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong for you, but for us it wasn't even an option.

First of all.. There's really nothing we can do about it. If they choose to play as poor as possible, then we can do nothing but win. But I'm not exactly pissed. I think it's a great option for the Trolls. If they think they've got what it takes to play in the pro league, which I think they do, then they should take the offer, since it'll save them a lot of time.

No hard feelings from me and I doubt any of The Features will be pissed to see CapnCrunch and Troll get an oppertunity like this.

Boy, sounds like youre saying if its right or wrong.

The AA division is very much like this one. Its not taking the "easy way", its getting teams in divisions where everyone is competative and everyone has more fun.

I was only posting what our teams opinion of the offer was, and what I would feel if I was in your position.

There is no, right or wrong here. If they are happy with it, and you are happy with it then...I guess I'm happy for both of you. The only problem, is we still don't know who would have won this league if everything played out legit.

Technically thats true but I would be more worried about beating the Features than about nuances like that.

Put your most intimidating defensive players in at key offensive positions. It's fun. Moving a DE to starting RB is pretty exciting, but the stat hit is gigantic. Magnus is the fastest guy on the field usually, but he ran like a wounded animal today. But that doesn't mean he still doesn't intimidate people....

Why would it be sour grapes? I'm sure we got the offer about the same time you did, but we were not interested.

The sour grapes have nothing to do with you "Getting your big shot at the Pro League"...it has more to do with these playoffs being tainted. Shit, we might lose our next game to Manchester. If that happens, this move had no effect on Greenwood...but if we do win and make it to the championship game, then yes we were effected.

No disrespect to the Features, I'm not saying that you guys couldn't beat MA straight up...you might have done that anyway.
