Ive gotten my main piece maxed (pancake) and looking for a second now... any suggestions as to what is the best to look for, for a Left tackle?

pancake is wasted on a LOT. Look for protect as a primary piece and foundation, hold block %, or pass block as secondary.

Same here. It's a wonderful thing. I am thinking the only advanced that would replace the foundation is another piece of protect come level 40's or 50s once I start adding to the sa tree's

Not that it is wasted, but pancake itself is overrated. Frankly, a block being held is just as effective (maybe slightly less - unless the pancake occurs way before the back gets up to him becuase the pancaked player could get back up and make a play). The hard thing right now is to keep the D lineman busy...
Cut block, run block, get low...
I prefer at least two of the three over pancake...

How many teams run to the left on more than 30% of carries? And of those that do, how many run off tackle or to some point where being able to pancake the DE has that much of an impact? And how many AA and above level DEs are you going to be pancaking anyway?
I think it's totally overrated. All you need to be able to do is drive the guy back a yard or two and hold him off until the HB is more than 2 yards down field. You don't need high pancake to do that, and you *definitely* don't want to trade any pass blocking ability to do that, unless you have built your entire team around running to the left.
