if no one else on your team is good enough to make plays, a good player will make an inordinate amount of them. you get to make more plays because your teammates arent good enough to make the plays before you get there. lke i said its more of a testament to being a good player on a bad d. great players on great ds have teammates who can make plays, so there is less opportunities for them to make plays themselves.
