Having the summers off, I have some free time once in a while. So, I thought I'd give it a shot. Two disclaimers beforehand. I do not follow Alpha very much, so I will not be doing an Alpha one (no disrespect, but if I get to the point of having to scout you, I will). Second, I will not predict my own game as I see it as poor taste, bad karma, or a bit of both.
Hawaii vs. Geelong: I believe this will be the game to watch. Hawaii is coming of a second half collapse versus the Hellcats. Geelong is letting everyone know they are much better than a 3-2 record would indicate. I've had history with both of these well ran teams, and choosing a victor is tough. However, I think that Geelong has the advantage on the defensive side of the ball, and I think that will be the difference.
51-41 Geelong
Poseidon vs. Big Dawgs: The battle of the 1-4 teams here! On paper, this is Poseidon's to lose, but I think the Big Dawgs will bite back. Unfortunately, not enough.
48-27 Poseidon
Bolts vs. Tornadoes: TBD - would love to hear other's input though
Riders vs. Chumbags: The Riders are rebuilding (0-5), and everyone is scoring over 255 points a game against them. The Chumbags come in with record of 2-3, and will go .500 this week with a win.
278-0 Chumbags
Homebrewers vs. Hellcats: This is an intriguing matchup. I think the Hellcats have the offensive advantage but the Homebrewers will bring the defense. On paper, I would say its the Homebrewers, but the Hellcats have been playing extremely well, and I think they take off another top notch opponent this week.
48-35 Hellcats
Destroyers vs. Ryno's: Another very important game for these 2-3 teams. They each need a win to keep their playoff hopes going, but a loss could be devastating. I'm rolling with the Ryno's who I feel are getting better with each passing week and could surprise some come playoff time.
84-37 Ryno's
Hawks vs. Sharks: The Hawks come in at 2-3 and need a win to keep up in the playoff race. The Sharks are 0-5 but have some fight in them. I think the Hawks overwhelm them as the game goes on though, to get them to .500 and to keep the Sharks without a win.
54 - 21 Hawks
Nation vs. Privateers: The 4-1 Nation comes into this game making a statement that they are a premier team in Zeta. The Privateers will not be finding the elusive win (0-5) in this game. Nation wins, and by a lot.
81-10 Nation
