Its playoff time! That being said, its time to do a little playoff bracketology and see who can most accurately predict the playoff results in USA A #6 this season. To make things a bit easier on the eyes, I put my predicted first round winners in the first column.

West

(1) Barbarian Horde
-------------------------- (1) Barbarian Horde
(5) Oklahoma Strikers
---------------------------------------------------------- (2) Royals
(2) Richey Royals
-------------------------- (2) Richey Royals
(3) SanFran Fire

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(2) Royals

East

(1) Memphis Riverrats
--------------------------- (1) Memphis Riverrats
(4) Driftless Area Gs
------------------------------------------------------(1) Memphis
(2) Washington Slashers
--------------------------- (6) Tennessee Fury
(6) Tennessee Fury

There's a bit of homerism in the picks. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Driftless Area Gamers upset the Riverrats though, as great as the 2nd half of the season has been for DaG. Disagree with me? Well then, make your own picks.

Are you leaving out some matchups?

No, he's just putting in his predicted winners.

Eh, it may be homerism, Albert, but nobody could fault you for picking the Fury when you've got six of your own guys on the team and you're a GM (frankly, I'm surprised you didn't pick the Fury to win it all). Likewise, I'm sure you wouldn't be offended if I were to disagree on that particular first-round pick.

There really are some fantastic matchups in Round 1, especially in the East. Obviously you can't put too much stock in the team scouting reports, but based purely on those, you could easily make an argument for both Lizard Lick and Washington being underdogs to their lower seeded opponents, even though they won those regular season meetings. The Gamers and Vanguards, of course, are still looking for a decisive victor after tying in the regular season, so that should be a very exciting game.

I don't have any predictions. I've seen too many playoff surprises in the past. Good luck to everyone.

Yea, I was afraid that the 1st round part of the bracket would go too long towards the right, so I put 1st round winners there. I expect to be "surprised" with at least two games, one of which could be via the Lickers (a great team with a terrible name, no offense).

@ Germains - the big X-factor in your game is how much OC can stop (or rather, slow down in this case) Ginger Vitus. He definitely is the best defensive end in our league (far better than my own Mendenham). If he has a strong game, I can see my prediction going the other way.

Yes I am a homer as well, but I believe in our team builds and tactics. I'm betting on us until someone proves that they can beat us.

Good luck to all involved. Obviously I'm hoping it won't end up being 1/2/3/4, but I'd still like to see some surprises along the way even if our team doesn't go very far.

We're looking forward to getting another shot at the Fire.

You forgot about Jacky Moon! He's improved greatly over the course of the season and his game logs reflect it well.

I forgot to add. My name is Jorge and I am a homer. Nice to meet everyone.

Viridia will win as long as I actually have a decent throwing game >_>

And the Gamers will win as long as we score more points.

Come on, if you're going to guarantee it, do it right.

What if your kicker doesn't save you this time around against the Royals?

I haven't had a decent game in a bit, so I'm not going to say anything other than point out the fact that when my QB plays well, we win.

And if you want me to guarantee it, I will:

24-18 VV.
