So with the new pass rushing scheme my LOT just got done giving up 7 sacks and 4 FF to their RDEs. He just stood there as they both went by.

Last season sacks were minimal, this season seems hopeless.

Here is the build

Strength:
90.94
Blocking:
91.94
Speed:
49.89
Tackling:
28.6
Agility:
70.97
Throwing:
9
Jumping:
9
Catching:
10
Stamina:
51.32
Carrying:
9
Vision:
57.12
Kicking:
9
Confidence:
39.94
Punting:
9

Also have 9 in protect. I know the speed is a little low, but he seriously didn't even attempt to block any of them. QB was sacked 3 times all of last season. Any help?

Vision to 60 then speed to 60. Your confidence is horrible. It should be at the very least 48.

I think we are going to be seeing that confidence will play a lot bigger role in the OT builds now, once you start getting beat it's all downhill. I am actually going to be doing a test next season about building high confidence o-linemen, taking it to about the same level as agility(maybe) and replacing vision. Will be interesting and I will let you guys know how it goes.

There's no real evidence for that, especially since summaries show offensive linemen usually ending games with 95-100 morale regardless of how they played. I don't think the sim even really tracks "sacks allowed," so there would be no penalty for confidence to counter-act. The only thing that seems to affect morale at all is getting reverse pancaked, and even then it's not much if any. Note that I'm not saying confidence is worthless to an offensive lineman, just that there's no particular reason right now to think that it's important. Now that we can see the post-game morale levels, we can generally tell which positions need an investment in confidence and which ones might not.

I think if the OP checks with the owner / coordinator he's going to find his morale was in the toilet at the end of that game... Confidence needs to up... After giving up 12 sacks our two OT's were under 20 at end game...

My OT . . . http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1147569

55 confidence.

Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=665544&mode=pbp. 7 sacks allowed by him, finished with 23 morale.

Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=665548. 0 sacks, finished with 100 morale

Game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=665540. 0 sacks, finished with 100 morale

Sacks allowed significantly effect morale.

Anyone else happy that building an OT is not quite so 100% easy anymore?

The advice above is all pretty good by the way....especially the parts about vision and confidence.

My brother has a RG Playing LT(He has 3 in Protector) and he hasn't gave up but maybe 3 Sacks in 3 Seasons and he has around 80 Strength,70 Blocking,66 Agility, 55 Vision, and 52 Confidence.Everyone wants 100 Strength and 90 Blocking and that's good for Run Blocking but you can't expect a Run Blocker to Not give up Sacks at LT if he isn't a Complete OT.
