Since it's wrapping up today how did it go? Get the recruiting you needed done? Bring in those OC/DC's you needed?

Did you get to sit back and do nothing while the rest of us scrambled around to patch holes?

The Tsunami did pretty well. We patched up holes left by agents with players who were retiring or wanted to check out another team. Upgraded ourselves in quite a few spots that I am happy about. We also put a new OC into place and are now looking forward to the pre-season to work out some of our AI that's being replaced.

How about you guys?

Awful so far. We are lowering our expectations to fill these remaining spots. it is just so difficult to get anyone to even reply to you.

I agree. Most of my players I brought in came from agents already on the team, or through agents already on the team. I think I signed one total FA that I didn't have some connection too. And I went and made some trades to bring in pieces I need. I would say at least 40 FA offers were rejected without even a response to my PM.

I have had my team for 6 seasons now it does improve some but most of it is by friendships fostered over the seasons.
Recruiting is still a nightmare and very frustrating!
Some of the things i see working on improving recruiting is teams going to farm systems for upper tier teams.
Building friendships and relationships of cooperative dealings.

This will be my 4 tv season with the dawgs. It's been by far the best offseason yet. Finishing the stadium was a huge help. That and my gm's had one he'll of a week recruiting. Glad to be here. And good luck everyone

Yea, i've had loads of success bringing in good GM's.. As far as players, i guess we put a good dent since we had NO O-Linemen to start with.. I really just lack that great WR and a high leveled CB.. CB's are like Diva's on this site... You get guys with half-assed builds looking for 10k per day.. It's a bit out of control, if you want the big cash perhaps you should learn how to build your player!!

Tokyo did badly, we didn't being in one new FA. No one wants to sign with us. It's going to be a long year for us in AA. I hope we at least finish .500.

yeah it was like 30 when last season ended.

Pretty much a difficult offseason for us. Halfway through the offseason, we were moved to this league, in which the opposing teams' levels were significantly higher than the league we were transferred from. However, we are trying to pull off a fun season.

Next season, we'll be great.

We finally landed a few lvl 40 players to round out the front 7. We are still thin at OT and WR. Still about 100 offers on the table, just no replies yet. I wish I could spend more time on the AI rather than recruiting.

This really gets to me. IMO, I believe that there should be some kind of penalty to agents that don't sign prior to the first day of the preseason. On average, they have around 7-10 days of off season to sign. No reason to hold off forever. Sign the contract and let the teams start getting their chemistry back up.

Maybe the penalty should be something like, max 200k salary for the year or something.

Why should people be forced to sign? Makes no sense to me.
