Well, if you didnt boost before today and ended up losing, it was extremely foolish. Home field in the playoffs is huge from a financial aspect. As there is no revinue sharing, home field ticket sales and concessions are like a free stadium upgrade. Sooner or later, player/team cash is going to be meaningful and having the extra revinue will make a major difference. On the other hand, 1 day of 3 extra xp probably wont be turning the tides any time soon.

I'd give us at least a .00038% chance of winning the conference, come on now, be fair.

At the most it could cost us one home game. I don't really pay much attention to the owner side of this game, but I doubt that's a team changing amount of money. And it's more then 3 xp.

ehhhhh. we might have been 16-0 if we all would have boosted at the beginning of the year and might have lost revenue from 2 home games....who knows. we felt it was worth chancing it the last game for a couple key players who might have been able to get 1 more level. especially since we didnt figure to have anything to gain. I'm surprised that the features lost.

Maybe those extra 5 SP's gained by waiting make the difference in the championship game? Who knows. I do know that if we get to move up then waiting will have been worth it.

Besides, I'm pretty sure we will have a larger stadium than anyone in this division and we don't have any $200K players like the Alley Cat. In fact, despite our depth, we might have one of the lowest payrolls in here considering how long we have everyone signed. Every team I've seen has many Season3 day 1 expiring contracts.

While you may have a larger stadium than us we might have about the same payroll as I noticed your highest paid player is $95,000 and my highest paid player is $83,000 and a Guard at that. *lol* What good does salary payroll do you though when you have to offer the equipment upgrades in bonuses. I only have one player who's contract expires in Season 3 as I notice you have several players that have contracts that expire in Season 3. Also you really can't count the 12 year contracts that are your own players as I would rather recruit and bring several different players on my team than have a majority of them my own. More challenging this way but better rewards because a team you built with diversity.

On another note what's up with my Arizona Cardinals? Are they becoming Steelers West?

Insider... know what you mean. I was pretty surprised that the features lost as well. I guess going into the situation, you figured that it wouldnt make any difference - I probably would have done the same. We have a few guys that would have hit the next level if they boosted at the end instead of the beginning (about 200 pts shy right now). I guess if they put in something to make money important, it will have been a good strategy. If its still pointless by the end of next season, then it was a waste.

If youve got a group staying together and they dont mind long term contracts, it really helps with the payroll. Of course when our guys started hitting 16 and we were handing out the 50K checks like it was halloween, that was a bit of a rude awakening.

McGrai - at level 15 or so, it a really small amount. Of course shavings make a pile so if you hold off for the whole season, its an extra quarter level or so (which is a bigger deal than it sounds). For us, its about 1.7 mil - or almost the current years salary for the team. right now, money is meaningless, so, no its not a team changing event at all. Supposedly money will have meaning later on...

Anyway, it will be fun to see what upgrades are coming...

Yeah - I lost a couple of really good players over the boost early/boost late thing. In hindsight, I should have just let them boost whenever they wanted to, but they were conspiring to turn the team against my plan. There are pluses and minuses to both ways. The pluses become smaller and smaller the higher the level.

I ask my team members to make alot of sacrifices for the team so players who are counting 0.05 here and there are likely to but heads with me anyway. But I'm relaxed more now than last season. I let my players do what is best for them as long as we are winning. If we would have started off 1-3 or 1-4, then I dang well would have required everyone to boost right then. Oh well. I'm glad now that people waited.
