Alpha Rundown
Compared to the Zeta match-ups this week, there isn't too much going on in Alpha. Also worth mentioned, for the first time that this has started, there is a team other than Livorno/Sin City/Barcelona in the top 3. Congrats to the Irish breaking that on streak. That being said, there is one huge match-up here between Livorno and Sin City, the 4 and 2 seeds respectively. Honestly, it shouldn't be close, with the Assassins having a huge advantage despite the close records. A Livorno loss, coupled with a Glasgow win (should be easy considering they play the lowly Gonadian Knights), will put both teams in a tie for the #4 spot, the final spot for home-field in the playoffs. The other crucial match in Alpha may prove to be futile for both teams in the end, but right now it has some big impact on the playoff picture.

The match-up is between two teams that are currently out of it but still have a shot as the Moscow Communists go against the KAF Spartans. The plummeting Communists need to play thier hearts out to win against an evenly matched Spartans team. The projector give the edge to the Spartans, but it could go to either team. A Spartans win would put them in a tie for the 9th spot and give them a critical tie-breaker over Moscow. They'll still be underdogs to get in the playoffs, but they would have a better shot than the Communists of getting in. Likewise, if the Communists win, KAF is eliminated completely and Moscow still has a chance at the 8. All other playoff teams should win their games easily, so not much moving will be going on otherwise.

Zeta Rundown
A LOT of action here this week. Algarve and Normandy each have easy games before their final showdown on the season-ender next week to determine the #1 seed. The Kickback Cavaliers, Zeta's version of the Moscow Communists, are looking at their 4th straight loss as they go against the Salt Lake City Utah. A loss here as they predictor says would all but completely crush what little playoff hopes they had... A bitter end to a fantastic start to the season. Moving on, in what might be the Zeta game of the week, the Antelope Valley Isotopes goes against the Matterhorn Marmots. A win for the Isotopes would greatly improve the odds of locking up the 4 seed, but possibly send the Marmots down to the 8 seed, depending on the result of some other matches. If the Marmots can pull off the upset, it can guarantee them a playoff spot and cripple Antelope Valley's chances at home-field in the play-offs. Right now, the predictor gives the edge to Antelope Valley, but it's another potentially close match that can go either way.

The last big match here is the Cybertron War Machine against the Missouri Quicksand. It supposed to be a close game that either team is capable of winning, with the slight edge going to the War Machine. The winner of this match gets control of the 5 seed and the loser gets the 6 seed, but not much movement otherwise, especially if the Matterhorn Marmots lose. Constantinople and Edinburgh each have fairly easy opponents, and a Kickback loss could throw them out of the hunt for the final playoff spot. It'll be one hell of a finish for that 8 seed.

Damn these predictions are awfully close.

Last games of the season are going to be exciting.

On Zeta we have the battle for the 8th seed, from my small scout there's going to be a tied team that doesn't make it at 8-7!
And of course the long awaited game for the top seed.

On Alpha the 8 seeded teams seem set, but very important games that will decide who battles who on the playoffs.

Tonight's scores have been added! Congrats to all the winning teams... The projector got all but 1 game right, ending its 3 week streak of perfection. Win margins are getting better, although there's still a few outliers. This last week should be really exciting... I'm not sure if I'll have the next week's post up tonight, since I have work at 7am tomorrow, but I'll see what I can do. If not, it will be up by tomorrow night definitely

I am hoping if we make the playoffs it is off by 90 or so. Then i smell an upset. LOL

Pffftt.... damn Soundwave... one of these days you are going to listen to me when I say we are going to steamroll people.... we got one more regular season game and about 3 playoff opponents that will go down the same way. CWM is rolling.

Side Note: It was a good game Missouri. The stats show how close the game actually was, and I look for you guys to raise some hell in the playoffs.

How things look:

7. Constantinople Knights 8-7
Have the toughest remaining game. If they win their in with 7th seed. Looks like if they lose they are out unless Matterhorn loses.


8. Matterhorn Marmots 8-7
Despite their losing streak they should still win and improve to 9-7. Which will guarantee them a playoff spot. If Knights win they will have 8th seed. If Knights lose they get 8th seed.

9. Edinburgh Highlanders 7-8
Should win this game and improve to 8-8 hold tiebreaker over the Knights.
