This week, SIX Alpha teams responded. Definitely the more active owners.

In Alpha, we had 4 teams getting voted between 4th and 7th... it's a tight race.
In Zeta, there WCB and BUD both got a 4th and 9th place vote. Lots of different thinking from the 4 owners there.

Ugh. Will do this later.

Team owner's votes do not count for their own team.

I.e mine for Det, Slayton for BHB, cherrie for Prague...

All the other votes "count" towards the tally, but their votes regarding their own team are not weighed in the total standings.

I would do that, except everyone in the first vote was very reasonable with their teams (except DET, whose vote for themselves was much higher than everyone else's). The only teams voting for themselves last week for #1 were BHB and SGA, I believe. And no one else's vote for themselves was out of line with the other votes handed in.

Therefore, I believe just about everyone is doing a fair and reasonable analysis, at least of the playoff teams. I don't think everyone gives any thought to the bottom half... especially when people were still voting REG ahead of LBT, even thought LBT beat REG last week.

Meh. I voted us third opposed to fourth(fifth due to tiebreaker), and if all goes as planned this week, it's where I will end up anyway (fourth) only because of a early season barnburner with Kiev.

what gives GCP? i'm just curious as to why you would put us in third, when our only loss was to you guys, and in week 3...

You guys are always sour now. All this talk about disrespect and what not... please. Stop bitching. You don't see us whining about sixth in the coaches poll, or ninth in the sPR power rankings. Everyone has their own opinions. Deal with it.

Ask ahno about our vote, he's probably the one who sent it in. But if I could predict what he thought, I'd say he'd put you behind ADD and BHB. I could see why. ADD is just too tough for anyone else in Alpha right now. BHB's been dominant all season.

IMO, I'd place you second behind ADD, I don't think Prague could win against the Dirty Dozen assuming both teams have already boosted for this season. But I'm not in charge of GCP's votes, so BLEHHHHH.

I wasn't whining, I was merely wondering the reasoning behind the third place vote. Personally though, I really don't know why you and others are hesitant to give us our due. We are obviously doing something right if we keep winning games people tell us we won't win. I think our record speaks for itself, and I have a right to question when someone ranks us behind a team we just beat.

I approve of his comments. Prague's complete switcharoo confidence and expectations wise is amusing. Not even I can claim that much of an ego boost. Yes, they beat good teams. But they didn't do it convincingly. It's not "excuses" just trying to keep you down. I,personally, still think they are that same overrated team everyone thought they were. They are not "soundly beating" teams as much as just barely holding to enough points defensively. Their offense doesn't scare anyone as much as their defense does. They only had 80 rushing yards versus ADD and 70 versus BHB. That means the clock is not running much, so their defense is on the field more. Accordingly, the offense of the other team gets more chances to score. That will bite them eventually.

All in all, Prague is a very solid team. I don't think they are the best in Alpha, but their schedule/results show they are. Good luck to them in the playoffs, keep your head up and ignore the naysayers.

As for GCP's ranking, I think it reflects their season so far. They've lost to the top teams (Det, BHB, ADD) while beating one (Prague) similar to Detroit beating BHB but losing to Prague and Kiev. GCP, again, will be a very strong team in the playoffs. Their seed will not reflect the actual quality of the team. Consider that an advantage if you play a un-informed owner.
