GAME OF THE WEEK
Furious George v Montana Grizzlies
Was there any doubt about the GoTW this time around? These two teams are both on an epic roll and should (hopefully) be an entertaining game. Montana has one blemish against Maine and Furious beat Maine in sound fashion. Montana's loss was early in the season, however and they are now playing their best ball. Both teams have been beating their opponents by ridiculous margins. Montana of course has the level and VA advantage, but Furious has given up levels in several other contests this season. Montana will be on special teams alert against Daydream Believer and Furious will be concerned with uber MLB Mike Blitzer. Expect both teams to go extremely run heavy. Furious, with their vaunted pitch plays and Montana with a more variable rush attack. This game will be lower scoring than both teams are used to this season, but I like Furious to make more special teams plays and to break a long run or two more. No hundred points this time for either: Furious 42, Montana 31.

Atlanta Wolves v Martha's Vineyard Ballbusters
Atlanta will be watching to see how Furious plays Montana, since they get the Grizzlies next time. I expect MV to experiment with their AI to see if they can make an adjustment or two for the playoffs. Atlanta 65, Martha's Vineyard 17.
Maine Hawks v Manhattan Massacre
There is a lot at stake in this game as well, as Manhattan tries to fight off Buffalo and VC, while Maine can finish as high as #2 if things break right for them. I like Manhattan's chances to make the playoffs, but not in this game as Maine has too much talent-wise. Maine 55, Manhattan 27.
Pittsburgh Powerhouse v Houghton Gremlins
Welcome to double-digit wins Pitt--nice turnaround. Pittsburgh 200, Houghton 0.
Da NOLA Brah!!! K&B Purples v Welsh Dragons
Da NOLA brings their Jekyl and Hyde show to Welsh where Mr. Hyde comes out to administer a beating. Da NoLA 62, Welsh 21.
Buffalo Beats v Detroit Outlaws
Yet another Rasputin game for Buffalo, as I expect the 8-10 teams all tied at 7-7 after this. Buffalo 49, Detroit 17.
Vice City Mambas v Detroit Diablos
Watch for VC to keep pace with Buffalo and Manhattan. This is going down to the wire. The prize? A first playoff game against Furious or Montana. Vice City 49, Detroit 13.
Bowdoin Polar Bears v New Orleans Poison
Bowdoin laughs now, NO laughs when they get back here in a couple of seasons. Bowdoin 42, New Orleans 37.
