Alpha Conference

1. Warlocks(12-0) - Clearly the #1 team in Alpha and it will stay that way until at least the playoffs as they are projected to be 16-0.

Now that was the easy part as 2-6 are so close that it really depends on a few key games, but here goes.

2. Lviv(9-3) - Balkan is their only tough game remaining, but they should get by them and end up with a 13-3 record.

3. Smexies(9-3) - They have one tough game with the Black Feet & that would definitely change this ranking, but I just do not see that happening. They are projected to be 13-3, but Lviv beat them head to head so they get the nod.

4. DC Squashers(8-4) - Their only tough game left is Ares. I have them with a projected record of 12-4.

5. Ares(9-3) - Two tough games remaining against DC & Moscow which the computer has them going down against DC. However, if they win both they could be as high as #2. Their projected record is 12-4.

6. Black Feet(9-3) - They have the toughest schedule out these 5 teams having to go up against the Smexies & the Warlocks so they clearly have their work cut out for them at this point. Their end of Season rank will be determined in their next two games, but the computer has them losing both and ending up with a 11-5 record.

The next 4 teams will be fighting for those #7 & #8 playoff berths. It should be a close battle.

7. Balkan(6-6) - They should secure the #7 spot and end up with a 9-7 projected record.

8. 300 Spartans(7-5) - They have a very tough remaining schedule, but the key game will be against Moscow. They win the game & they should earn the 8th seed with a projected record of 9-7.

9. Moscow(8-4) - They will easily be #7 or #8 if they can knock off Balkan or 300, but the computer has them losing both & ending up with a 9-7 projected record and falling short of a playoff berth.

10. Vampire Bats(7-5) - They have the toughest schedule of any team remaining which puts them on the outside looking in. They really have their work cut out for them to find a playoff berth as their projected record is 8-8.

The best of the rest.

11. Killer Turtles - Their projected record is 6-10.

12. Danube - Their projected record is 5-11.

13. BSS - Their projected record is 3-13.

14. Czech - Their projected record is 2-14.

15. Kazan - Their projected record is 1-15.

16. Dnukes - Their projected record is 0-16.

Let me know if you would be interested in Zeta's.

well actually if there are 3 teams with a 13-3 record then ties go to most points scored but if there are only 2 teams with a 13-3
record head to head is the first tie breaker

I hope you are correct as that would make more sense, but when we ended up in a tie with another team last Season we were ranked lower do to points scored. If we can get a rule clarification on this in a post from a Mod or Bort himself I will be very happy to change it. That would also move Ares down one, but 4 plays 5 in the playoffs anyways so not a big deal.Thanx for the input!!!!

heres from the wiki

Playoff Seeding Tiebreakers

When two or more teams have the same regular season record, seeding comes down to the following tiebreakers.

To determine the winner of a tie within a Conference the following Tiebreakers go into effect:

1. If there are only 2 teams tied (same record), higher seed is the winner of the head-to-head match up.

1. If there are more than 2 teams tied (same record), then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. Number of head-to-head wins against the other tied teams with the same record.
2. Number of total points scored.
3. Number of total points allowed.

Twiztid has also played this tiebreak game with own team several times.
He's speaking form experience and that's definitely how it works.

Time to run up the score guys!

Defense wins championships, but offense wins seeding.

I read that last Season to & even put a PM into support, but by time they replied it was obviously to late. Until I here the rule from the horses mouth I can only go from last Season with my team. We still won it so it wasn't a big deal, but was a little confusing at the time. This would move you up to #2, but remember if my team won out which is a coin toss with the DC game that changes everything for 2-4 rankings!!!!

BTW, I would agree with this except I would have Black Feet at #5 over DC.

I would also have#'s 7-10 go: Moscow, Balkan, Spartans, and Vampire Bats.
Balkan is obviously better than the Spartans as they beat them in a blowout 61-17.
Despite current records, I think both teams will finish with 8 wins and Balkan would have the edge.

Good job though.

Thanx, Pretty busy today, but I am waiting for a reply from a Mod or Bort himself & then I will make the appropriate changes needed at that time so it could very well end up as you say if that rule is enforced!!!

The rankings have now been corrected going by the Wiki tiebreaker rules above. Hopefully, they are followed the way they are spelled out this Season. I may get to Zeta & I may not as I only have a hour window to do them and it may not be enough time.

Even if Ares beat DC which would make them 11-5 they beat the Black Feet Head to Head so they would get the tiebreaker according to Mr. Wiki. Unless they beat the Warlocks or the Smexies they are 6th seed & will probably play the Smexies again in the 1st round of the playoffs.

The computer has Moscow losing to Ares, Balkan & the Spartans which put #'s 7-9: Balkan, Spartans, Moscow. Balkan would be 2-0, Spartans 1-1 & Moscow 0-2 so this is why they are listed in that order. However, if Moscow just beats one of them then they would jump to the #7 seed & Balkan would move to 8th & get the final playoff spot. It should be fun to watch & see how everything plays out!!!!
