I don't know who will end up winning the trophy in the West. But i just noticed the front office that may deserve it. Chi-wawa's have $61 million in the bank. Seriously - how did you do that? do you charge like $25 for a Miller lite?

Seriously....I wondered about that myself. I figured they must have not been funding any 48+ EQ. Based on thier performance though, that couldn't possibly be the case. I guess they've just been solid financially since season 1. We weren't, and we're paying for it now....

I believe they got quite a few home games down in BBB and at least 1 last season as well. Those always rake in the big money. I am actually surprised that that Twisters don't have more after running through the BBB last season.

Actually, I believe all our players have the EQ paid for. Apart from the last BBB playoff run (and that we haven't missed the playoffs since season 2), the key for us has been...
1) We invested very heavily in our stadium early on (thanks ste!)
2) Our player were (and still are) okay with having low wages as long as they can afford training. Many even waited to buy expensive EQ until the stadium was full.
3) We've kept many of our players since the start of the team, and many others that were added later belonged to those agents, so we never had to break the bank to sign people.

So, patience and loyalty I guess.

Yeah, we have most of that minus the home playoff games. Missing out on them up here the last 2 seasons has been a thorn , but we still manage. Hoping to make up the previous 2 seasons in home games this year as far as money goes.

Yep...thats our plan too...everyone is fine with making the min sal and min bonus. Our problem was the previous owners of this team had no idea about the financial aspect and didn't care. When I came on board in season six, they had been in BBB12 for a while and still didn't even have the 200 level built....

Kind of the same boat, but we were a down and out team and didn't really have any revenue coming in until we finally started with .500 or above records in season 6. I believe in season 5 we went 8-8 and then the following season we were 15-1. We got promoted here in season 7 to start the cycle all over again. We would be sitting there in the same financial situation as the Chihuahuas if not for our premature promotion. I believe we went 4-12 our first season up here and 11-5 the past 2 seasons. Season 7 we missed a home playoff game by 21 points as a seasonal total, 21 points from 6+ million for 1 game, ugh! Last season I was overburdened and arrogant and that's all on me. Brought on Tac99 as our OC this season so I could concentrate on just one side of the ball and I think the results are speaking for themselves.
