After dismantling the Sharks attack, the Mavs went out and lost a tough one at home, to a very good Redbirds team. The game was closer than expected, even by Mavs owner Dan. "I was expecting a pretty severe beating , but we kinda held our own, especially on defense, we held their high pwered offense to 48."
As usual Ernie Mcrakin led the way on defense, 10 tackles , 1 FF, 3TFL, and a PD.
"They have a great offense , and they beat us down pretty good" said Ernie "we had a couple of good plays on defense , but we jus tdidn't have enough for them. OH , and thanks for the Phil Collins cd Kite, you're a funny guy"
Usually silent, and very dejected OC Willyf had this to say on the offenses performance.
" We threw you the ball this week Robert, but the kicker outscored you"
"Hopefully next season we'll have a little somethin for the Redbirds" said owner Dan " Kite and his boys are a class organization, and we aspire to be where they are now.
Now get outta my office my chickens gettin cold"
Next up for the Mavs, they travel to the New World Order, and I thought this was a Canadian league.
