Warrior General Games

Wow we haven't had this kind of movement in the top 10 in a while! Lot of big games this week. All movement in the top 6 was because of the Munchen game.

These rankings are based on Strength of Record and not your Win/Loss Record (In other words if you beat the guy ranked above you they are still having a better season than you are... get over it). Based purely on how well you have done against given opponents vs. how everyone else has done against same opponents. This is still a work in progress so try not to get to bent out of shape with it.

Essentially a 3 way tie for 1st place and a 5 way tie for last... the difference separating them all are further than the hundredths digit.

I found that ranking to depend in large part on the teams record and level of players. Mine has to deal more with how the team is run, while being influenced by player levels and team record, it is primarily based on how a strong a team is with their tactics vs other teams. IMHO tactics > team record (which can be bolstered by pure builds and/or level of players). I think that my power ranking is based more on the performance of the GM's with respect to team record and player levels rather than the other way around. Which is probably why some people take offense to it.

Meh, it's all speculation and these rankings are merely numbers. Take em or leave em.

That script is actually based on # of games, Wins, Losses, Points Scored, Points Allowed. Fairly simple yet the results almost seem right on the spot. Of course I'd like to incorporate a few other variables to fine tune it, if it were mine.

I don't see how you can based yours on something like "how the team is ran" by including "how a strong a team is with their tactics vs other teams". What, do you see how many yards per inside run a team has? Or "performance of the GM's ??" It doesn't make sense to me, sorry, sounds like you're spewing. A for effort though on your rankings though.

Without getting to overly complicated I rank each team in how they do both offensively and defensively. Here's an example of the the offensive scripts.

I rank their run, inside and out (based on a GM script so I'll give you that it could be somewhat glitchy though I think it's pretty accurate) as well as the passing game. I give each game a numerical value in each game. If they do well they get more points. Then the opposing D is scored based on their OPP history. So if they tend to pass more and they don't defend against the pass they are given less points then if they stop the passing game. Hence a 'scouting' score if you will.

Anyway, that's one aspect of the script, taking my son to the beach since it's such a nice day, I might elaborate more on this later.
