Season 9: Week 8
For the second week in a row I have under-estimated the Rome Ramblin' Thornites to the detriment of my prediction percentages. This win puts them in contention for the 8th playoff spot, but it means that their whole season will hinge on their week 12 game against the Reading Armed Centaurs.

No doubt about it, this is the feature game of the week. Both teams are playing very well, and this looks like it will be a dogfight to the end. I am going to buck my own rankings here and make the call for an upset win by the Rippers.

2. (2) Red River Ruminants vs. (10) Leipzig Lions
Red River has shown no signs of slowing down this season, they should plow right through the Lions.

3. (4) October Wildfire vs. (7) Flint Hobo
There are many people in Michigan who think that Flint "should" be burned down by a wildfire, but here in GLB, they will just get a drubbing.

4. (5) London Olympians vs. (13) Arlington Sandlot
Arlington's offense looks like it has been mired in sand since the beginning of the season. Their Lot isn't going to get better this week and the London Olympians will just kick sand in their face.

5. (6) Glasgow Cats vs. (11) Mile High Hitmen
The Glasgow Cats seem to have their nine lives intact after last weeks surprising win over Flint. They will try to avoid getting wacked this week against a Mile High team that is looking quite vulnerable.

6. (8) Reading Armed Centaurs vs. (12) Barcelona Bisons
Both teams really need to find a way to win here, RAC is on the way up, and Barcelona seems on the way down. I think that trend will continue this week, and give the win to RAC.

Rome will continue their recent sucess this week as they take on the St. George Javalinas, who have so far not scored a point in the regular season. They won't this week either.

The Wave Riders should be able to pick up another win against the Strelets this week. I keep waiting for the waifs to wake up and play up to their capabilities.
