5-1 on Wk 7 predictions... not too bad. I was a little surprised at how Transylvania put away the Mafia rather easily and the Javs manhandling of the River Rats. let's see how i do this week...
Constantinople Romans at Terlingua Javelinas
The Romans continue to show why they're the top team in Zeta. Only twice have they allowed more than 10 points this season. After a shaky start, the Javs came up with a huge win over Spokane to keep themselves within a game of 4th place. Their newfound offense, however, faces an uphill battle against a stout Romans' D.
Prediction: Romans 64-7
Chernobyl Nuclear Assault at Transylvania Terror
The Nuclear Assault are still a season or two away from being competitive. Unfortunately for Chernobyl, the Terror are pretty damn competitive right now. Transylvania also fields some sweet home uni's.
Prediction: Terror 128-12
Belgrade Blaze at Subotica Scorpions
Blaze get a break from gameplanning for a week before a tough stretch of Sea Dragons, Terror and Mafia.
Prediction: Blaze 255-0
Kiev Cossacks at Ukrainian Warheads
The Warheads draw a second straight really tough matchup. The Cossacks have surged to fourth place in Zeta, and may just be the best of the second tier right now.
Prediction: Cossacks 49-14
New Jersey Mafia at Helsinki Hell Raisers
Helsinki may end up with the biggest turnaround from S8... just, in a baaaad way. In Week 7, the Mafia had a chance to really establish themselves as a top-tier team, but came out with a stinging loss to Transylvania. They'll use the next three weeks to pick themselves back up before a showdown with Belgrade in Week 11.
Prediction: Mafia 255-6
Spokane River Rats at Macedonia Marauders
Spokane is one game out of the #6-9 conglomerate and has some tough competition in the second half of the season. Macedonia has already played 3 of the 5 teams ahead of them, and a win against the Rats could really help to separate them from the Sea Dragons, Javs and Guard Dawgs.
Prediction: Marauders 44-21
Columbus Crush at Caspian Sea Dragons
An easy win keeps the Sea Dragons on the good side of the bubble in the hunt for the playoffs.
Prediction: Sea Dragons 255-0
Istanbul Anatolian Guard Dawgs at Draguignan Dragons 83
This could end up being the closest game in Zeta this week. D83 hasn't really played to their potential yet this season. The Dawgs have shown some signs of taking the next step, but need a signature win to get them there. A big win over D83 could go a long way towards that goal.
Prediction: Guard Dawgs 42-34
