i never did quite understand power rankings lol we beat victoria surely we should be ranked higher? or is there some sort of error ratio thing to do with the fact that they probably had lost 4-6 morale by the time we faced each other or something like that?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You should be higher and eventually you will. The longer the season goes the closer you'll rank. Right now the teabaggers are holding steady just because they're managing to score some points against some tough competition (which gives them some credit), and they have a team that has some talent (which is a SLIGHT calculation in my ratings but perhaps I should nerf it more). Their early season schedule is:

Your wins are against bottom teams and your losses are against top teams. As it sits, the computer doesn't like that because it doesn't give you much credit for the wins over the alcoholics, presidents, or teabaggers. I will make one tweak to the algorithm in a bit and re-release the rankings. It should help.

The funny thing is that if the Teabaggers ever got their act together they'd be a tough team to play. As of now they're struggling mightily!

I dont understand the logic you guys keep talking about Victoria. They are like most teams who come up from the BBB. They dominate in the BBB and then come up to the A and get demoralized. They are ok but they have beaten who they probably should have beaten and lost to who they should have lost to. Maybe I am missing something, but I look at a team totally. I look at depth at positions, avg starters levels, avg backup levels, skill position levels and I just dont see Victoria as this tough team to really worry about. The East has about 6 good teams and after that it is mediocre. Just my 2 cents.

It's true that you scored against texas and cuban and you got credit for that. Your games against those two teams were actually more contributory toward your power ranking score than your wins against the presidents and alcoholics as they're really struggling. You actually gained like .02 points on them for that win which is huge. I imagine even if I don't tweak things that you'll move ahead tomorrow with a win over Atlanta and a loss by Victoria to Cuban (both of which SHOULD happen).

Sorry about the talent thing but if you look at the two rosters there is a difference just because you have many backups that are sub-40 and they don't. However it appears your starters have been carrying you quite well with some contributions from the backups. It's fun to watch your team come out and compete!

The greasemonkey ratings are shady just because they don't account for schedule strength (at least I don't think). Just overall offense and defense. In a stratified league such as this one the rankings can be inaccurate as well. I try to fix that with SoS modifiers. Neither are perfect though.

ahh levels don't matter we'll win with builds, well i guess we'll just have to see how we do over the rest of season and hope things go well.

So look at Teikoku and look at Victoria and tell me which team looks better ON PAPER if you can't tell what their builds are...
