Hey! Just wondering what people think. My team is getting killed with sacks this season. We have a solid o-line with people capping out strength, blocking, and agility. I believe that one reason why we are still getting so many sacks is that our vision isn't high enough, thus not allowing us to pick up blitzers. Let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks.

you mean 3rd capped right? And 10 in protect for your LT?

I don't think vision is really that important.

95 blocking, 75 strength, 75 agility, 68 speed, 48 vision, confidence, and stamina. You are golden.

I've directly read from Bort, and I'll paraphrase now, that vision helps the d-line anticipate the blocker's movements and how to beat them, and vision helps the o-line anticipate the d-line's movement and how to stay in front.

After I saw that, I second guessed vision to 48 on the o/d-line. I'm thinking creeping in towards 60 isn't a bad idea if you built your player properly.

One reason is that "95 blocking, 75 strength, 75 agility, 68 speed, 48 vision, confidence, and stamina. You are golden." still leaves room at the end of your build for more.

Linemen in their 40's should have vision and confidence in their 40's, and it should be enough. It does leave room for improvement, but if their vision and confidence aren't that high yet then it tells me these players haven't been building well. If they haven't been building well then vision and confidence probably aren't their only problems.

Vision might be a problem, but I'm sure it's not the only problem.

By their mid 40's Centers should have close to 190 combined strength and blocking (including equipment), along with speed at least to 30 if not higher, and agility at least to 60, with stamina, vision, and confidence in the 40's.

By their mid 40's Guards should have close to 180 combined strength and blocking (including equipment), along with speed at least to 40 if not higher, and agility at least to 60, with stamina, vision, and confidence in the 40's.

OT's should have similar goals as guards, except strength an blocking might be a bit lower with strength and agility a bit higher, and possibly more vision and confidence.

Judicious use of SA's will also have an impact. If a player spreads their points out among a bunch of different SA's without focusing on one or two, they will tend to be wasting points.

That is a big big point. Absolutely killed my season 1 OT. He's worthless due to having like 6-3-2-4-2 3-6-5-2-4 SAs or whatever. Nothing effective, and a LOT of skill points in there. Never again will I do such a thing
