Well folks, early post for the week 6 predictions but have made the most of my May Day holiday to compile these a little sooner. Have tried this time to add a bit of commentary to make it a bit more interesting than the straight results. Comments welcome.

ALPHA CONFERENCE

Palermo 12-42 Lowestoft

The Trawlermen look like easily extending their unbeaten run to remain top of the conference.

Oslo 58-11 Copenhagen

The Cunning Stunts will be no match for the Tigers as the Tigers extend to 6 and 0.

New York 3-111 Langenfeld

Longhorns complete top three’s rout of Alpha Conference opposition in tonites game without breaking a sweat.

Cambridge 27-7 Las Vegas

Chieftains to move to three wins on the trot.

Inverness 36-15 Paris

Monsters to recover against the Superbes and move to 4 and 2

Bern 24-14 Langen

Mid-conference tussle and money is on Bern to stop the route and beat the Fan Zone 9ers

Hamburg 36-30 Monaco

This will be a close one but I am going with the Vipers to make the most of homefield advantage and take it by the odd field goal.

Buffalo 36-17 Detroit

My money is on Buffalo to stop their rot and to continue the Mayors miserable run to an 11 game losing streak.

ZETA CONFERENCE

D-Lightening 65-15 KC Belgian Waffles

Lightening to move to 3 and 3 with an easy win over the Waffles.

Natal Hellboys 9-52 Stirling Schiltron

Schiltron to continue dominance of Zeta Conference with easy win.

Gascony Bestias 12-68 PaPa Dongs

Dragon Farm just way too good for the Bestias and to join Schiltron unbeaten in conference.

Wichita Grundle Pumpers 18-62 Marshfield Pirates

Pirates close out the unbeaten trio with a straightforward victory over the Grundle Pumpers.

Sexintown Rubbers 24-24 Bornholm Vikings

Too close to call this one. Draw prediction unlikely as it will go to overtime, so it may just
fall to the Vikings.

Bielefeld Elite 13-43 Rome Arcani

Arcani to move to 4 wins on the trot with this easy trip to Bielefeld.

Hamburg Fighting Pirates 39-8 Athens Minotaurs

Minotaurs will have to wait for that first win as Fighting Pirates taste victory again.

Helsinki Fish 34-16 Zurich Capitals

Bottom of the conference clash but I make it that it’s the Fish who will break their duck this season and take the win.

Question for the guys? Anyone know how to keep formatting or at least to bold in this forum? I'd like format-wise to have the scores in bold and the comments in plain text?

Good stuff Hairy !

to make things in bold use {b} to start the line and {/b} to close the line except use [ ] brackets not the curly ones. Italics.. swap the b for the an i

Oslo look the cream of the bunch in Alpha but there are a few teams not very far behind at all , Lowestoft Trawlermen and Langenfeld Longhorns spring to mind, the games where any combination of those 3 meet up should be great games.

thanks. I'm affraid of playing you and oslo back-to-back in week 9 and 10 good to have time till playing the longhorns then.
You have a good team, would be the best with higher lvld players, didn't look at your games jet, but you must have great tactics to be that good.

great job hairyscotsman

Like the rankings and appreciate you doing it, and agree about Lowestoft and Langenfeld being two of the top teams. Dang it, hated to have to play them back to back at the beginning of the season.

Oppss for sure the big shocker for this week was Palermo winning this one 20-16. Grats to them on an outstanding victory

To be honest, the scoreline flattered us. We never really made headway against an excellent Defensive gameplan, and only our solid Special Teams kept it close.

money lost but it was a tough match, decided by a punt return. this could have been a win for Bern, no doubt about it.

Yeah, we are still trying to figure some things out offensively. Felt like we should have won this one, no offense to you though. Ya'll played a great defensive game.
