Sorry these are so late

1.Bakersfield Nananas 4-0- Big win over Beantown makes them still the best in the west. (Big Wins- Long Beach, Beantown)
2. Mighty Chihuahuas 4-0- Still winning games easily. Cant wait to see what they do with a tough opponent. (Big Wins- Boston Bears)
3. Virginia George Washingtons 4-0 Great team that has what it takes to possibly win the west. With a win over Steel City they prove they belong in the top 3. (Big Wins- Steel City Sentinels)
4. Long Beach Dub All Stars-3-1- Stay at fourth after week 4 due to the top 3 teams continuing to win. Itll take one of them to lose to move up. (Big Wins- Saginaw Supernovas)(Big Losses- Bakersfield Nananas)
5. Beantown Bastards- 3-1- Despite a loss this week, Beantown stays at 4th because they lost to the number one team in the West. (Big Wins- Oklahoma City Thunder)(Big Losses- Bakersfield Nananas)
6. Saginaw Supernovas 3-1- At 6th still despite a loss by Beantown due to a bad opponent. I think the Supernovas are a team that can highly compete with Beantown, its just a matter of who has the perfect gameplan. (Big Losses- Long Beach Dub All Stars).
7. Oklahoma City Twisters 3-1- With a win over the HItmen this week, the Twisters bounce back. The real test will come when they play Saginaw. I also do think the Twisters can upset a team like VGW or LBDAS. Once again, its just a matter of if they can get the perfect gameplan going.
8. Steel City Sentinels 2-2- A loss against Virginia keeps them at 8. Now this may seem questionable with the Inferno being a 3-1, but if you look at the opponents the Inferno have had, its clear that both Steel City and Dallas have a tougher road as of now. (Big Wins- Dallas Hitmen)(Big Losses- Mighty Chihuahuas, VGWs)
9. Dallas Hitmen 2-2 Despite getting thumped by Oklahoma City, Dallas remains at nine because of the weakness of the lower part of the west. They will have to bounce back this week against Bakersfield, although highly unlikely. (Big Losses- Steel City Sentinels, Oklahoma City Twisters)
10. Indianapolis Inferno 3-1- Yes thus far the Inferno have surprised me. Due to what appears to be new talent on the roster, they are ready to surprise some people up near the top. Lets just hope its not me. (Big Losses- Mighty Chihuahuas)
11. Chicago Blitz 1-3
12. Hells Phoenix 2-2
13. Kodiak Island Arctic Rockers 1-3
14. Colorado Ice 0-4
15. Idaho Rex 0-4
16. Eugene SLUGs 0-4

Its so early that I'm hesitant to "correct" your rankings...but I think that Beantown maybe should be a bit lower and the Inferno probably should be a little higher. We droped a bunch of spots in your poll when Bakersfield beat us by 3 points (in a game that if possible, was closer than that score would indicate), but yet Beantown loses to them by 40 and its no big deal? Beantowns good too...don't get me wrong. They'll probably beat us, but still. I think with the limited data we have right now, I'd go something like this:

Teams with the same number should be considered to be more or less equal.

1A Bakersfield
1B Mighty
1C VGW

4 Long Beach

5A Saginaw
5B OK City
5C Inferno
5D Beantown

9A Dallas
9B Steel City

11-16 draw straws

From what I read into this...you are saying that Long Beach is in a class all its own.

Well, I wanted to stick us in that first group based on our performance so far, but I figured a little modesty is better until and unless we beat somebody in that group.

We shouldn't even have rankings until like week 5 or 6. Kind of like the BCS. By then the field is spread out a little bit.

probably, but the way the scheduling works, a team can be pretty weak and start 5-1 or be really strong and start 2-3. Hell...last season we play the Titans in game one and Mentone in game two. Our 4th game was against somebody tough as well, so we're sitting there at 1-3 (If I rememebr right). We ended up winning like 9 of the last 10.

Still, even at this point in the season there's probably enough data to make some valid conclusions...especially if you include the scrims...

I can understand where your coming from, and yes Inferno should be about 7 talent wise, but the reason Beantown didnt fall is because the teams below them didnt do anything spectacular to advance.
