Not much changed in Alpha.
The only significant move was the Spartans moving up from the #9 seed to #7.
It looks like they'll be battling for a playoff spot and have separated themselves from the lower group with an easy win against CKT.

There was a much greater shake up in Zeta where AAA got it's first loss and dropped from the inflated #1 ranking down to #5.
The Spartan Hoplites take over the top spot with their shut-out of a quality Pirgos team that was significantly outleveled.
Plovidv also made a significant move up the rankings as they managed to get their first win.

This is the first season we've seen the Hopilites since we were promoted from EEA2. No offense to them but its wierd to see them at the top of the chart. Season 4 and 5 Hopilites game was an easy win. Congrats on turning the team around. You guys look like a force this season.

I just dont understand how AZ takes out the number 1 ranked team, and we stay ranked 4th lol.. and we beat the number ranked team 74-10.. you would think that would move u up the ladder alittle lmao..

Yeah, that's the missing link.
With my calcs, strength of schedule isn't included.
That would be way too difficult for me to figure out.

I thought about adding a generic +1/-1 feature that I could use for a strength of schedule or a kick-ass gameplanning bonus, but that would require too much time on my part to review everyone's schedule and I'd end up putting it off.

My goal was to make this as easy as possible for me to plug the updated numbers and then have something to post.
That way I won't procrastinate and it will actually get done every other day.

I appreciate the comments though.
And I'm happy to have people ripping the flaws in my method.
The whole purpose is to get a discussion going and occasional errors are actually a good thing to trigger a response.

no matter of what flaws other agents think your power rankings have - I really appreciate that you do them at all - makes the game so much more enjoyable...and I believe most agents feel the same.

Well then, for you entertainment purposes, my next set of rankings will have a much prettier format that's pleasing to the eyes.

It's kind of hard to pull that off with the limited forum features that Bort gives us.

But since it's a boring Friday at work, I'm capoable of working magic.

Thanks for the complement. Bullblitz was given this team in season 6 when it was a gutted mess. I came on to help on Offense and we were able to pick up a good, though underleveled, bunch of players and agents. We've improved each season and added some players here and there but mostly these are the core of that Season 6 team.

I'll be the first to say that I think we will take some big losses this year as the season go's on. If we can make the playoffs this season then we will have met our goals.

AAA was only the #1 ranked team because our first 3 games were probably the softest scheduled throughout the Zeta conference. I mean seriously, the Dnukes and Warsaw? That's 2 wins on a silver platter, and while the Mambas are a good looking team, they're SEVERELY outleveled up in AA. I know what Akihabara can do, and being in the top 6 in this league isn't something that's going to happen. We're going to be pasted by GIV by at least, if not more than we were by AZ. If we're lucky we *might* get the 8th seed in the playoffs, but I'm figuring we go 7-9 this season. if I had to rank the top 3 Zeta teams right now it'd be.

probably being the top 3 teams in Zeta (certinally in the top 5) - who do you guys think are the top 3 teams in Alpha?

Alpha is tough since it's more like a top 5.

But if I had to separate them, I think the Lions, Smexies, and Warlocks are the teams to beat right now.
But I also have the Vampire Bears and Black Feet right there with them.

It's too early to tell which one will be best until they start playing each other.
